Uqbar is going to be at Eth Denver! If you’re going and would like to meet members of the team, we have have a signup form on the website for you to get a timeslot. Hope to see you there!
After the brief holiday hiatus, The Network Age podcast is back with Owen Barnes (~locruc-fonmec). The boys discuss the rise of personal artificial intelligence tools, the importance of user interface, and how to design a new internet from the ground up. Then, they explore how new AI platforms (such as Chat GPT and Codex) can empower programmers, whether AI will protect (or exploit) personal data, and the role of crypto in curation of AI content. All this plus digital reincarnation of departed loved ones, algorithmic broadway musicals, and sign placement on the London Underground. Get the episode here.
Quartus Co. and Chorus One exercise their nerd sniping skills by bringing Conway’s Game of Life to Urbit. Their version of GoL is built in Sail with an Urbit backend and is open source. Pay close attention to these attractive screenshots and download from ~dister-dozzod-doldys/cgol.

~rilfun-lidlun and Tlon gave us An Overview of Planned Landscape Improvements

~fabnev-hinmur gave us a new EScape mobile app release to address loading and notification issues, a release incorporating latest Groups 2 updates and improving the nested reply display, and a Pokur update to highlight the winner.
~hosted-fornet and ~dachus-tiprel worked on:
Improved speed of %pyro file syncing.
Integrating %ziggurat and %pyro for file syncing.
Various fixes to make frontend development easier.
A few of this week’s best threads from Uqbar founder, @basileSportif

On how to build world-changing stuff in software
