On February 15, 2025, we officially opened the doors of Urbe Hub at Città dell’Altra Economia, marking a major milestone for Web3 in Italy. The day was filled with energy, meaningful conversations, and a shared excitement about what we can build together.
We were joined by Ethereum co-founder Mihai Alisie, Founder of AKASHA Foundation and first supporter of the Urbe Hub project, who shared insights on the early days of Ethereum and the importance of physical hubs for Web3 communities.

Urbe Hacker House is our deep-dive builder format. Over one or two days, we come together to explore protocols, SDKs, APIs, and new Web3 tools, learning by doing.
For our seventh Urbe Hacker House—the first at the new Hub—we explored Akasha World, guided by Limone and Mide, diving deep into the project’s core tech.

Urbe Hub is a permanent home for Web3 builders in Rome. It’s where developers, founders, and creatives can come together to work, collaborate, and grow the ecosystem.
We built this space because we believe Web3 is about more than speculation—it’s about building real things, solving real problems, and pushing technology forward.

Urbe Hub is located between Testaccio & Ostiense, two of Rome’s most vibrant, well-connected neighborhoods.

Main co-working room for open collaboration with 25 seats

Furthermore, we have a chill room with TV and sofa, a “HopSpot” corner (eat & drink area) and a large terrace. These make the space truly multifunctional, allowing for hard work and recreational activities to happen simultaneously.
Urbe Hub is located inside Città dell'Altra Economia, a center for sustainable innovation, ethical business, and cultural exchange.

A restaurant & bar
Three large event spaces (some may remember them from ETHRome 2023)
A massive open-air piazza, where some of our biggest events take place
We’re partnered with these spaces, so during larger events like Urbe Village, the whole area becomes an extension of Urbe Hub.
