Drop Money: An Introduction
While the interchain economy has seen an explosive growth in recent years, issues of capital efficiency continue to plague the ecosystem. Particularly, despite the existence of several liquid staking protocols (LSPs), over $15bn of assets are currently natively staked and thus locked and unusable within these networks. Built on Neutron and led by former Lido Finance and P2P contributors, Drop aims to strengthen the economic viability of the interchain by putting these staked assets to work. O...

ValiDAO’s long-awaited Dymension airdrop is finally here!
As of today, stakers who delegated $DYM tokens to our Dymension validator before the snapshot date can claim their share of the VDO airdrop.
As of today, stakers who delegated at least 28 $DYM tokens to the ValiDAO Dymension validator before the snapshot date of 17 February 2024 can claim their share of the VDO airdrop.
In total, 400,000 VDO tokens (4% of the supply) are allocated towards this airdrop.
Delegators will have until the 15th of July to claim their allocation.
Any remaining tokens will be clawed back once the claim period ends. A portion of this remaining supply will then be re-distributed to claimers.
List of eligible addresses:
dymxxx (Dymension native) format: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmZwSnGdb2TfPNmaEhv8JEj93rp2QfYEKqL4446CEJThGr
0xxxxx (Ethereum equivalent) format: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/Qmb1i7x6zjjmu4btjT2GEu6G7TvCPHi8BKBbik8djzSQXa
The $VDO token exists on Ethereum mainnet while eligible addresses are those who staked with the ValiDAO validator on Dymension.
Seeing as Dymension is a cosmos-based chain, an address conversion may be required on your part if you did not stake with the ValiDAO Dymension validator using metamask.
If this is you, you simply need to connect to the airdrop claim page using the same account as you delegated with and claim your airdrop allocation.
If this is you, you need to export your private key or mnemonic (seed phrase) from your Keplr or Leap wallet into your EVM native wallet, such as Metamask or Rabby.
Steps to convert a Keplr account to an Ethereum account on Metamask
1/Open your Keplr wallet and click the top right image

2/Click on the three dots next to your account

3/Click 'View Recovery Phrase'

4/Enter your password and copy the resulting 12 word string. UNDER NO CIRCUMCSTANCES, EVER, SHOULD YOU SHARE THIS PHRASE WITH ANYONE
5/Install Metamask in a fresh browser, such that you can import a new seed phrase. This will not work with an existing installation of Metamask, so you need to install Metamask anew (potentially on a new browser). For example, you could download Brave, Firefox, or any other browser that you do not currently own, and install it there.
6/After installing Metamask, you'll be met with the setup wizard. Click 'Import an existing wallet'

7/Click 'I agree'
8/Paste your 12-word seed phrase which you copied in step 4), and click 'Confirm Secret Recovery Phrase'

9/Create a password for your new wallet instance

10/Visit the airdrop claim page, connect with your wallet, and check your address for eligibility. If eligible, a 'Claim' button will appear which will allow you to claim your airdrop.

And that's all! If you instead of Keplr staked using Leap or alternative cosmos-based wallets, the instructions will be similar: export your mnemonic (seed phrase), import into Metamask or similar EVM wallet, and claim your airdrop.
