It serves as the foundation for all projects. Outside dimension (width, height, and thickness) and AA (active area or pixel area) are the two dimensions to take into account. The clearance will be decided by resolution. Nobody enjoys seeing pixels on a monitor in full view. This is the cause of the increase in resolution from QVGA and VGA to HD, FHD, 4K, and 8K. If money is tight, TN type TFT LCD can be used, however there is a choice of either 6 or 12 o'clock viewing angle. Gray scale inversion must be handled with caution. When purchasing a high-end device, you might spend more to choose an IPS TFT LCD that doesn't have the viewing angle problem.
