Unfortunately, many people who land a role they want won’t be looking at the future. Instead, they will let the company decide their trajectory and go along with it. After all - it is the easiest thing to do, and it can feel secure too.
Instead, you need to take a look at your career and the progress you have made - and decide what you want. And if it isn’t, then you need to take a look at how you can change it.
Assess what you are doing, what you have done, and what you want to do - take your career into your own hands and manage it.
Perhaps you went into the job role with less in terms of skills, and you have gained some while you have been working - but what is the skill gap between where you are now and where you want to be? If no courses are offered, it can be a great chance to talk to your manager about courses that could benefit you and the rest of your team.
Rather than go with a problem and no suggestion for a solution, mention there are skills that you could all benefit from and that there are LMS software options that would work. If there are no options for training within the company, take matters into your own hands and take courses at home.
