As we flip the calendar to a new year, let’s take a sec to look back on WakeUp Labs’ journey in 2023. Time to celebrate the wins, learn from the challenges, and set some exciting goals for what’s next. Here’s to the journey ahead! 🥂

In 2023, we kicked off the year with our partnership with Mokens League. Together, we embarked on a journey to redefine mobile games with the power of web3 tools. Despite having been part of the gaming ecosystem for a while, this was the first project that allowed us to step into this industry under the name WakeUp! 👉 know more here!
Additionally, we had the opportunity to apply our knowledge and technology in other partnerships,(aiming to enhance the future of digital collectibles) such an NFT collection called Project 2057 on the Polygon network. We also collaborated with getbasilic, combining crypto payments on the Polygon Network with asset tokenization services.
Furthermore, we had the pleasure of working for six consecutive months with Win Investments to empower clubs and individuals to monetize players’ training rights through digitized contracts and valuable tokens. With Win, we handled all the logic on the blockchain, including the smart contracts that such tokenization entails. 👉 Know more here ⚽
We also had the opportunity to partner with one of the largest ETH conferences in LATAM: ETH Argentina, supporting this conference with talks from Milton and Christian, our tech lead.

A separate chapter deserves our work throughout 2023 with Optimism. We obtained the RetroPGF nomination from OptimismGov, affirming our commitment to support the Optimism Ecosystem. We were also selected to develop a feature for effortlessly searching status history on the OP Blockchain, empowering devs and users to locate specific moments and events within the blockchain precisely. As we closed our year with the nomination for RPGF 3 from Optimism, we are excited to carry this momentum into 2024 and continue our dedicated work in advancing and supporting the Optimism network 🙌
We kicked off “The Coding Show” with a four-episode series, delving into programming experiences and live coding sessions with Chris Escalante, our tech lead.
We also launched our new website, promising users a refreshed and engaging experience, set for another update in Q1 2024! 👀
Additionally, we introduced the OP Workshop Series alongside OP en Español and L2 en Español, solidifying our dedication to education and developer support within the Optimism Ecosystem. The workshop concluded with over 100 on-chain attendance certificates, marking the successful completion of the OP Workshop Series. You can explore the entire series here.

Cracking the Code: How Velora Epochs Distribute Rewards and Refunds
Velora’s Epochs are more than just a date on the governance calendar, they are the engine room of the protocol’s incentive system.Every four weeks, the DAO turns on a finely tuned mechanism that channels protocol fees back to the community, rewarding commitment, contribution, and activity. Built and maintained by WakeUp Labs, this system leverages PSP 2.0’s Social Escrow model and the automation upgrades introduced in PIP-55 to run with precision, transparency, and minimal manual intervention...
