The Ultimate Guide to Arbitrum's Onchain Gaming Ecosystem
Author: FaultProofBen Gm! Last week, we covered some of the L2 stacks for building onchain games like World Engine, Keystone, Paima and AltLayer. We’ve also spent plenty of time discussing other ecosystems here on WASD like Starknet, and the MUD games built on various OP Stack L2s. If you are an L2 nerd (like myself) you may notice that there’s one glaring omission from this list: Arbitrum. Arbitrum is mostly known for having the largest L2 DeFi ecosystem, and a big Web 2.5 gaming (Games with...

The Ultimate Guide to the Realms Ecosystem: Part 2
Gm! About a month ago, I began our exploration of the Realms ecosystem in “The Ultimate Guide to the Realms Ecosystem: Part 1.” If you’re a loyal WASD reader, you may have noticed that Part 2 has yet to be released. (Rugged!) I’m happy to say that changes today, thanks to the legendary 0xAkina! In Part 1, I focused on the history, vision, and entities operating in the Realms ecosystem. I also shared my thoughts on one of its first-party games, Loot Survivor. As promised, in Part 2, Akina will...

Gm and welcome to The WASD Weekly!
I know I must sound like a broken record by now – But it was yet another exciting week for onchain games.
Loot Survivor launched a 72-hour tournament. $1K is on the line for whoever gets the highest score.
Just weeks after releasing Nova Chess, Paima is at it again. The studio dropped a new strategy game called Hexlands.
Finally, Dojo continued to make moves, as they held their second hackathon (the Dojo Game Jam) and announced their Ninja School event for Devconnect.
These and other milestones may not generate the sexiest headlines.
But they are helping lay the groundwork to support the inevitable wave of new onchain gamers.
In terms of my weekend, I will be touching some grass.
(FaultProofBen touching grass?! Stop the presses!)
However, I can’t quit onchain games for too long, so I also plan to spend some time playing Cellula.
Cellula is an artificial life simulator game that caught my attention after I watched their presentation from the latest MUD Community Demo Call.
I’ve completed their tutorial, but I haven’t been able to go any further since I’m still working on sourcing some Optimism Goerli ETH.

So, I don’t have many thoughts on Cellula’s gameplay yet.
But I have to say that I LOVE their soundtrack. I’d recommend checking out Cellula for that reason alone.
Anyways, without further ado, here’s:
A primer on the week's news
My picks for three onchain games to try out over the weekend
A recap of this week’s WASD content and mints
Some of the best onchain gaming content from other frens around the ecosystem
And of course…
…The S-Tier Meme of The Week!!!
The hottest news from the last week in onchain gaming and autonomous worlds.
Three onchain games to try out for yourself this weekend.
Catch up on WASD content and mints from the past week.
The best non-WASD Content from around the ecosystem.
In honor of Bitcoin pumping, here’s a Saylor based meme about WASD Guild courtesy of yesterday’s piece.

Thanks for reading!
