NEAR AI, NEAR Protocol's AI arm, has launched two new products, built around the idea that “users should own their AI,” namely NEAR AI Cloud and NEAR AI Private Chat.
For NEAR AI Cloud, every request (prompt + inference) runs inside secure hardware environments (using Intel Corporation TDX and NVIDIA Confidential Computing), ensuring data stays encrypted, isolated and inaccessible even to NEAR AI itself. Moreover, each inference generates a cryptographic attestation: a proof that can be independently verified to confirm the computation happened as expected and in legitimate secure hardware. The Cloud platform also supports open-source models and offers an API that’s compatible with popular LLM ecosystems, making migration and adoption relatively straightforward for developers.
NEAR AI Cloud is already serving live customers across Brave's testing version, OpenMind, and Phala. These platforms collectively serve 100M+ users in consumer and enterprise contexts that demand strict privacy guarantees.
On the other hand, NEAR's Private Chat leverages its cloud infrastructure to offer everyday conversational AI (questions, research, advice, etc.) with verifiable privacy, meaning users can trust their data won’t leak.
RSS3, the decentralized “open information layer”, has launched a new offering called AgentData, which provides real-time internet feeds tailored specifically for AI agents. AgentData aims to supply structured, live data from across the internet, including Web2, Web3, social media, and on-chain/blockchain sources, making it easier for AI agents to access up-to-date, verifiable information.
The move reflects a broader industry trend toward combining continuous data streams with AI, enabling agents to react, analyze and act in real time rather than working off static or stale datasets. By offering such instant, decentralized data feeds, RSS3 hopes to make agentic AI more powerful and trustworthy, supporting use cases in decentralized finance, social media, autonomous decision-making, and beyond.
KuCoin Exchange has launched KuCoin Feed, a new AI-powered “crypto intelligence center” that centralizes a wide range of crypto-market content into one interface: news, announcements, highlights, events, analysis, community commentary, and more. The idea: instead of hopping between multiple news sites, forums, on-chain trackers and social channels, users get a unified, streamlined feed, personalized via KuCoin’s AI engine, which tailors content based on user behavior, interests, market trends and token-specific activity.
The Feed isn’t just about information: it connects directly with KuCoin’s trading system, allowing users to move from reading a report or update about a token to trading or acting on it immediately, which may accelerate decision-making. It also aims to improve blockchain and crypto market literacy by offering in-depth articles, expert commentary, educational content and trending-topic analyses, not just headlines or price-flash alerts.
Numerai, a data science competition where you build machine learning models to predict the stock market, has raised $30M in a Series C financing round. The funding was led by major university endowments, and led to valuing the firm at $500M, a roughly fivefold increase in valuation compared to 2023.
The funds will be used to expand Numerai’s AI/data-science teams, grow its global data-science tournament community, and roll out more institutional-grade hedge fund products.
In the last three years, Numerai’s assets under management (AUM) have reportedly grown from about $60M to roughly $550M, including a previous commitment of up to $500M from J.P. Morgan Asset Management for hedge-fund capacity. In 2024 its flagship equity fund delivered a net return of 25.45%, making it one of its strongest years ever. Now, Numerai plans to scale toward nearly $1B in assets under management (AUM).
Messari just published its State of AI report, which paints quite a positive picture of the Web3 + AI space.
AI tailwinds are driving a deAI revival. Surging inference demand, breakthroughs in post-training, stronger open-source models, agentic commerce, and frontier data requirements are quietly pushing deAI into its “age of enlightenment,” even as investor interest lags.
Decentralized compute networks are scaling to meet rising AI inference demands as open-source models become more competitive. At the same time, new protocols are transforming users into coordinated data collectors, generating valuable frontier datasets. The emerging agentic economy is expected to reach trillions in value, with stablecoins becoming the core payment infrastructure for autonomous agents.
I recommend you check out the full report below. I'm working on deep dives into each particular Web3 + AI vertical and use case, so stay tuned.
Thank you for reading! If you haven't done so yet, I invite you to subscribe to stay in the loop on the hottest dAI developments.
I'm looking forward to connecting with fellow Crypto x AI enthusiasts, so don't hesitate to reach out to me on social media.
