It's movie time, ladies and gents. Gather your popcorn and settle in, as we whet your appetite for XFondo Whistler number 4 with a minute's worth of "holy sheezeballs I need to sign up for this" videotape action...
If you ever needed inspiration to kickstart your 2025, this is it.
Ditch the day-to-day drudgery, let your hair down, and, as those Gen Z's say, let's goooo.
Well, it was witty until it wasn't. When we launched with 2 distance categories, the names "Shorter" and "Longer" made sense, but adding a 3rd option "Further" just made things downright confusing (even if it was facetiously brilliant). So now, the distance lineup sounds like this...
Shlong is not for the faint of heart. Many will be heard proclaiming "shit that was long!" in bemused yet proud defiance. To those souls, we salute you.
Take advantage of the new S2S trail extension up to Suicide Hill, you'll pack in even more loose stuff singletrack, as well as a don't-look-down traverse that'll have you nervously checking your chamois at the end. If that isn't the epitome of type 2 fun, we're not sure what is.
Longer live the King - the OG tough distance challenge at XFondo Whistler returns!
Many people have underestimated Longer at their peril. They see a 60km course and think "perfect, I'll be wrapped up in time for an Earl's Breakfast afterwards", and then BAM, the suffering comes.
You'll yelp with delight flying down towards the Speedway, but what goes down must come up, and given you'll be climbing some muddy switchbacks on the way home, better keep some gas in the tank early doors if you know what's good for you.
Oh Shorter, we love you.
The perfect all-terrain balance of fun and still serious challenge comes wrapped up in a package that takes you to all the best bits of the XFondo course, with just a little less LARPing around in Lost Lake at the start.
Take a swing at all 4 terrains, sumptuous views, trail camaraderie and more, plus get to compete for a podium moment too. Shorter might just be the best time you have on a bike this year.

You know that thing at a takeout joint where they ask "do you want fries with that?" and you say YES because it's absolutely what you want? XFondo is like that takeout joint.
We're less pretentious than a Cactus Club, and we have golden and delicious fries that everyone covets. Sure, you pretend to have New Year's resolutions to eat less takeout, but we know what you're really craving deep down.
The fries, in this analogy, are our sister events, which you can get special discounts on when you sign up for an event combo deal, such as:
RIDE 2 EVENTS, GET 10% OFF BOTH
RIDE ALL 3, GET 15% OFF
So, what are we talkin' here?
You probably know RBC GranFondo Whistler. Fresh from being voted the best Gran Fondo in North America in 6 of the past 7 years, it's the spectacular crescendo to your cycling season and a total no brainer. Combo these together to save some decent beans.
And then there comes the new kid on the block, GranFondo Riviera Nayarit, Mexico.
With this puppy, the cycling is mainly an excuse to get away for a week of sea, sun, sand and many a sangria that you oh-so-deserve. Flights are cheap and direct, Puerto Vallarta airport close to town and hotels are both affordable and by the startline. Add this to your order and save your pesos.
Important: combo deals are not retrospective. You can't previously sign up for an event and then get a combo deal on another registration tomorrow. It'd be like going to McDonalds and asking to edit last month's late night raid.
No judgement on your cravings, of course.
