PHILOSOPHY the belief that the world can be made better by human effort. We can invite progress within ZoneDAO by communicating with our peers in the most honest, accurate, and loving way possible. Organizing: By creating a decentralized organizational structure, we can use Blockchain technology to provide part of the solutions around governance, token rewards, content creation, and general funding. We propose that by creating an LLC to protect ourselves from liability and to handle finances in the physical realm adequately, we must still use some traditional mechanics.
The Secondary Organization tentatively considered is a Trustless, Unincorporated Nonprofit Association [Agreement]. This is the layer necessary for tax considerations, legal protection, etc. We can ensure that Committees and Guilds can operate smoothly through protocols such as:
• Governance: Token holders can claim “membership.” Members gain X amount of governance votes based on the number of fully evolved NFTs from the No Fun Zone or $zone tokens being staked. (numbers to be decided by the community after launch)
• Governance: Mechanisms that allow members to vote on the curation systems for the NoFun Zone programming, in person events, graphic novel creation, and continued growth of the No Fun Zone.
• Proposals: To be submitted by members (token holders). NonMembers can pledge by submitting proposal to engage members in the #Lobby of our discord server, or by completing the nofunzone.xyz modules.
• Payouts: Each proposal should indicate clear scope of work, timeline, and total amount of funds needed to be distributed. Proposals can be discussed in NFZone’s #proposals channel.
• Bounties: Core Contributors will be given a quarterly budget for bounties in search of contributors. Bounties must be voted on to pass by members.
Overview
Education is crucial for the growth and innovation of web3 and beyond. Information on the internet, paper, and other communication streams are available today, but it is not always accessible. Accessibility is defined in terms of economic need, language, and learning styles. We work with curriculum developers, researchers, and gamification experts to create an engaging and supportive gateway to knowledge.
We are a DAO focused on peer-to-peer vetted knowledge and the co-creation of stories around characters who complete the course and have been personified as guardians within the blockchain. We bring symbolism to the educational journey through characters representing the learner.
Most education systems today are operated and run by a centralized authority. While the traditional ways have worked, there are ways to use the current technology to make them better. People rely on sources for information curated by the few already in the know; this creates a problem when newcomers join because the information is not articulated for someone with zero background. Users need to be met where they are, and NoFun Zone will offer the fundamental learning necessary to catch up.
We need a trustless system with qualified researchers, writers, and contributors to share information from varying sources, show proof, and bring it to the community to review and vet (to learn about the team, visit the Team page). The system must be owned and operated by the contributors and the consumer. This allows for an open line of communication from all aspects to ensure we have a wide range of perspectives and information to find the truth within the noise. This system can only work if we begin with a small group of people who come from different backgrounds and can communicate ideas, thoughts, and knowledge in a way that can be discussed and dissected to get down to the facts.
2. NFZone
We bring together current giga-brains of the web3 space to join ZoneDAO and commit to contributing articles, videos, podcasts, etc. We welcome trusted and anonymous contributors to join us as we build a community that can generate well-researched information for our future guardians while keeping the NFZone values in mind.
Individuals can join the Discord server, agree to our rules, and sign off on their identity with their wallet address. From there, they can join the contributors’ guild and submit a proposal on a topic of choice. The community members can then agree that the proposal passes, is reviewed, or does not pass for future use of the DAO’s updates. After each proposal is submitted, there are 48 hours that the group has to read, review, and research the information coming through to decide on whether the article will be used for the upcoming or any future publishing of modules.
ZoneDAO will launch the NoFun Zone in Q1 of 2023 through a virtual event and possibly an in-person activation during a conference (TBD). There will be a significant emphasis on inviting underrepresented communities to come and learn about blockchain for two straight days, all available for free! We will also have a separate track open to the crypto enthusiast who wants insight from those building the meta blocks of a solarpunk future.
3. The Learning Journey
The solution we propose begins with a free, multilingual modular platform that is interactive and incentivized. We will ensure there is a way for anyone with an internet connection to have access to the foundational course, known as Module 0. This will be a course that outlines all the fundamentals and need-to-know topics of blockchain. From thereon after, we will implement a proof of humanness aspect to ensure everyone who moves on to more intricate modules can earn incentives. Proof of humanness will be done with an app called BrightID. Thismobile application allows members to interact with the metaverse as a form of a Decentralized ID (DID). Once humanity is verified, every student will be given an initial token that will place them in their elemental house. As the learner evolves and grows with the modules, so will their token and experience across the platform. The incentives provided along the way will allow users to unlock other opportunities, prizes, physical items, etc., within the NFZ universe.
Educational modules will be slowly released as we kick off the NoFun Zone, starting with module 0, coming Q1 2023. Later in Q2, we will release module 2-3, and continue to slowly release all 6 by the end of 2023.
4. The Incentives
By convention, the first users will be entitled to greater rewards and opportunities within the ecosystem as a thank-you for being early supporters. The goal is to incentivize the participants to stay around to become guardians and pass the knowledge to the next person who joins. We believe in building a regenerative community that empowers not just through education but possible token incentives.
Through partnerships across other organizations and protocols, we can provide perks to our users. There is an opportunity for users to learn by doing. No Fun Zone ensures to include an extensive curriculum about how to make use of applications and services available on the blockchain. In those modules, we will also ensure faucets are available to students so they can continue to use the applications and pay for gas fees, etc.
Members can complete learning tasks to earn NFZone’s native cryptocurrency. Every module is assigned a value. The heavier the module, the more value it is given. Members earn as they learn, offering gamified incentives to accelerate their skill development rapidly. More than a support group, NFZone members gain access to partner organizations in need of talented alums. Additionally, the NFZone Foundation will reward the most promising projects with tokens to support new startups and mentorship to succeed along the way.
5. Guardians / NFZ Metaverse
Upon beginning Module 0, users receive their own elemental NFT that transforms into an elemental guardian as they progress through the modules. As a graduate of the NoFunZone, you have bestowed the responsibility of embracing your guardian character and doing good within the world of web3. While the character you receive is an NFT, it is also a symbol of commitment to making a positive impact on blockchain by empowering oneself with the knowledge to empower others.
These NFTs act as membership passes to the community. Ownership is required to progress through modules, join private Discord channels and class sessions, and participate in Bounties, which are tasks that members can complete to earn cryptocurrency. All of a user’s progress in learning modules, task completion, and the accomplishment of other goals are associated with that user’s NFT.
6. Governance
The NFZone is operated by a decentralized organization. All of the major decisions made by the NFZone as a decentralized organization will be managed and executed by voting via a designated smart contract. Holders of Guardian NFTs will be given one vote each, and the majority vote will determine the decisions the organization makes. This includes decisions about module structure, governance structure, tokenomics, and the inclusion and exclusion of individuals as members.

7. Conclusion
We have proposed a system for modular learning without relying on live educators. The idea is that anyone can get started and learn about blockchain through recordings, gaming, and support channels. We begin through small cohorts of early testers and eventually grow to a self-sufficient community of contributors who have equipped themselves with the foundations necessary to be outstanding web3 citizens - what we like to refer to as guardians of the blockchain.
