Decentralized protocol even if sufficiently tells people they can rely on it for decades kind of In reality from the start there were compromises like storage and removal of early interactions and casts that you made Right now I think farcaster stance is super weak going forward (realistically) It might have been ahead of time and still is I think since Ethereum and Bitcoin are struggling today when they have the biggest communities in the world today including many full time contributors and researchers Compared to that farcaster feels like a small pond My point is that when ethereum will grow 10x from here there may be enough people in the community who will care enough and beyond monetary incentives + there will be a foundation structure to keep a network like farcaster going Farcaster never had anything more than peak speculation and always had top down centralized control and no allocation of resources - those investments could have gone to full time researchers and contributors same way ethereum foundation and core contributors are funded right But instead the target was always in the growth of users and numbers vs setting up a foundation of people who are willing to full time work on it beyond monetary rewards This makes me sure we will see a network like farcaster at some point take over and grow 100-100000x+ once our industry is mature enough and global culture shifts overall from making stupid investments and getting rich quick schemes and investing into friends / pals and status games and power games...
