What happened in Iran? Some facts and biased opinions
More people were killed by the IRGC in just one night than were killed during the 12 day Isreal-Iran war 6 months ago. let's review what happened:
past few weeks have been like a lucid dream of Iranians. It all started 3,4 weeks ago with Rial dumping to all time low as a result of the Islamic Republic's corruption and terrorism funding.
At first there was 2 days of peaceful protests. The protests started from the main Bazzars in Tehran's key locations. after that there was a mesage from Iran's exiled prince Reza Pahlavi. He invited people to come out on 8 PM Tehran time. The IRGC didn't take this seriously but milions of people started shouting from their windows and in the streets in unison. They chanted:
"Death to Khameneine", "Death to the dictator", "This is the last battle, Pahlovi will be back".....
milions and milions of people started walking the streets chanting peacefully that night for 3 hours. In some areas people more angry with the regimes constant oppression attacked mosques, banks, buses and more to let their 47 year old angers out.
next day the IRCG was ready. on 8 pm people started their chants as the last day but then when the marching started, IRGC was very violent. They started shooting in the air and tear gases were thrown....tens of thousands of innocent protestors were killed during the next days.
eye witnesses in Mashahd reported that on day 5 in hospitals the rooms were closed. Inside each room, piles of bodies were stored on top of each other. All the while officials in Iran acted as if the death toll was much lower. the fight went on until I assume people couldn't go on anymore because financial situation is hard and not many people can afford to not make money for more than a week.
the regime cut people's internet access, they even restricted calls and no one could even send on SMS message. this went on for days.
No one came to help and Perisans lost a battle but they achieved a lot. They showed the world that they are not one with the evil regime.
