I still laugh a bit when I think about how basenames wound up being DOA. Launched out of nowhere and costing near-nothing. No priority given to ENS holders or fNames. So every grifter purchased dozens/hundreds of basenames to squat & try extort from actual users who wanted them. End result being grifters holding the bag with a bunch of worthless basenames, and basenames themselves becoming synonymous with scammers and spammers (partly in thanks to content coins being linked to them). I really hope Base have learned from the mistakes of Zora, BaseApp, and BaseNames, but man. It's like nobody who uses crypto actually works at the company.
