finally checked out Together CC: @superbuu.eth
Fun film but lacked a few things that would have put it over the top for me. They went with 80% practical effects and unfortunately the other 20% really stuck out
PRACTICALS WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER IN A BODY HORROR
I always go back to The Thing - a film that has aged so gracefully and continues to create new horror fans every year
Practicals don't necessarily look "realistic" but they represent a physical presence that gets better performances from the cast and shows a scrappiness missing in a lot of CGI
There is creativity unlocked by having constraints
it just feels better
Together is still an interesting watch and a fun Rom-Com Horror Romp
this was a pointless cast
someone just sent this to me - Not my typical style but I am invested fully - something interesting happening here
blend of Shoegaze and Black Metal - mixed really well - cinematic maybe
I dont know

I’m curious to explore the connection between isolation and dark thoughts, particularly in the context of art.
Goya’s black paintings immediately come to mind.
Is there a counterpart to this? What artists are creating “happy” work in isolation
