Someone buys you a garish looking plate for your birthday which will probably be hidden away except when they come to visit. Then you find out it’s quite an expensive plate by a famous artist. You appreciate it as a gift more… but are you still going to hide it away?
One of my biggest challenges with reading is focus… you’d think the better the book the more focussed I am but it’s the opposite. The better the book (talking non-fiction) the more it triggers ideas and mental notes in my brain. Suddenly I’m half a page down and I’ve not taken a word in… so back I go! 🙄
I don’t know what to say… if you don’t like cheese, there’s something seriously wrong with you and I suggest you seek professional advice to resolve whatever deep seated trauma has distorted the connection between your taste buds and your brain.
The biggest issue I have in voice conversations with AI is how much it interupts while you talk or even tries to add 'yep' 'ok' 'sure' 'great' etc... which is meant to feel natural but forgets that when humans do that (mostly) it's less intrusive in tone and volume. It will improve of course.

Exhausted. Wife’s is away for nearly a month, so much respect for solo parents. 2yo is sick and going through developmental phase so not sleeping well and grizzling all the time. Fortunately 8yo big sis is ‘mostly’ helpful. Now I’m sick too 🤒
The two things I’m determined to teach my kids above all else…
To be 1. Resilient enough to deal with what life throws at them, and 2. Articulate enough to engage in creative conflict when required, to make positive change for themselves and others.
Do we have tokens for tipping that can be assigned a default amount when we mention them on casts? For example if I cast “Absolutely $love what you’re doing with this!” It’s sends them 100 $love tokens. Adding numerical amounts to casts feels clunky, I would rather blend it into natural language.
Learning to know ourselves doesn't have to be a pilgrimage into ancient traditions and countless dollars spent on self-help courses. It is simply learning to talk to yourself, through writing and the practice of Journalling.
