The work continues. I was also able to provide medical supplies (tourniquets, hemostatics, and bandages) for medics and their ambulances on the eastern frontline 🫂⛑️🇺🇦
The only reason this is still possible is because of
@vitalik.eth’s donation, and once that’s out, continuing this work will become incredibly hard for
@crystalhearts, as there are barely any donations coming in.
I’m sharing this to show a bit of the reality. There aren’t as many people supporting Ukraine these days, for many reasons. Firstly, what’s happening has become fully normalized by the world, all the horror and atrocities are treated as normal, and as a result, people don’t feel inspired to donate or support. Secondly, many other horrible things are happening in the world that require everyone’s attention, and the sheer volume of it all tends to cause overwhelm and makes people tune out altogether. And many people have stopped donating, thinking that some magical ceasefire is imminent and that help is somehow no longer needed. I get those messages all the time 🙂↕️
Fundraisers are stalled for everyone, and many volunteers I used to drive to the frontlines with have given up and aren’t doing this work anymore. I’m definitely not planning to do that, but I am trying to figure out how else I can help once we’re no longer able to fulfill incoming requests.
I’m incredibly grateful that it’s even been possible to continue getting supplies to the frontlines all these years and to support our medics and defenders. Many lives have been saved. It’s going to be 4 (!!!) years since the beginning of the full-scale war this month, and I stepped into this from the very beginning without knowing how to pull any of it off. The fact that we are still going is a huge accomplishment, and I’m thankful to everyone who has been supporting me since day one 🫂
