Greetings, fellow investors, speculators, gamblers, degens, and builders.
I'm back and diving deep into the burgeoning BTC ecosystem. With the recent surge of scaling solutions, the space is experiencing a Cambrian explosion of projects.
I've personally invested in the BOB ecosystem through their Spice points program. While I'm familiar with projects like Babylon and Botanix, I'm particularly intrigued by Babylon's expansion of their LST and LRT protocols to other BTC L2s like BOB, Merlin, and B squared.
It's important to note that there are BTC L2s that predate the BitVM concept, including Lightning Network, Stacks, and Rootstock. Additionally, the availability of native tBTC on Arbitrum raises the question of whether L2s are truly necessary if bridging solutions can already provide exposure to BTC price in a trust-minimized way.
Given these developments, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the current state of BTC scaling and the role of L2s.
