News π
I'm happy to announce I'm a Fabled Ambassador! Fabled is an incentivized experimental art factory on the Mother Chain using ordinals, runes, and other BTC L2s. There's a call for artists for anyone interested in creating and getting involved. This week, Fabled blog posted its very first artist highlight showcasing Lemonhaze. His work is introspective and explorative, and I will be closely following his artist's journey. I will also be posting a more detailed post of my understanding of the content and purpose of Fabled soon, as we move onto other onchain activities.
Socialfi π
I will share with everyone a few platforms Iβve been playing around with starting with Paragraph which is on the OP Superchain. Itβs designed for content creators to have ownership of their media - something all Socialfi projects are aiming for. This is in the form of NFTs, tokens, and other digital assets which the audience can mint at the bottom of the page. There's a function to post behind a paywall similar to the New York Times or WSJ. I won't do that at least not for now because I respect the open source and flee-throw of information the cypherpunk movement was built on.
Next is Mirror, which as a user is identical to the previous dApp. Earlier this year, one platform acquired the other. Finally, there is Firefly, a social media Web3 super app which allows users to connect their wallets (EVM SVM), and X account and have one cohesive feed.
Firefly π₯
I have to mention Lens and Farcast before I move on because if you have a Firefly pass NFT you can open accounts for free on the platforms mentioned above. Lens and Farcaster came onto my radar in the spring of 2024 when the Socialfi narrative was the topic of discourse on CT but I didn't want to pay into the platform. (Why should I win when X is free?) Fast forward to today and Firefly offers users free sign-up if users hold a Firefly pass. I was sold on that idea and went out and bought a pass on OpenSea for 3POL, around $3 as of writing. The convenient feature of Firefly is users can post on X, Lens, and Forecaster all from this one app.Β I am also doing a lucky drop on Firefly of 10 POL to 3 lucky winners! Lmk how it goes and am interested in hearing about other users' UX.
I must confess it's a lot of dApps. π΅βπ«
