Been diving into the exciting world of Bitcoin Layer 2 (L2) solutions, and I'm pumped about the advancements! Already got a position in BOB, their BitVM2 research looks promising, especially with the ZK-proof integration potential.
Their roadmap mentions that if OP_CAT gets activated, it opens the door to ZK-proofs for signatures. This is a game-changer for scalability and transaction efficiency.
But here's the twist: even if OP_CAT doesn't happen, BOB's got a plan B. They're hacking BitVM onto Bitcoin, similar to Ordinals and Runes. Innovation FTW!
Udi seems to be the champion for OP_CAT, even creating a comic to explain his CatVM vision for off-chain signing. It's clear there's a lot of passion in the Bitcoin L2 space!
Here's my take: Bitcoin shouldn't be a static monument. Just like any web application, it needs to evolve. Sure, there's a ton of money involved, which can make upgrades scary, but hey, ZK-proofs have been around since Satoshi's days!Reactivating that script could be the courageous step Bitcoin needs.
While I'm rooting for BOB to lead the charge, I also want to see a diverse landscape of solutions tackling Bitcoin scalability. The more minds on this, the better!
