What if I could simply highlight a section of text from an original post, click “quote” and then the quote becomes a child-coin of the original parent post
this has interesting journalistic implications, as you can further extend the quote capability of being embedded as HTML5 with a full suite of provenance metadata. As quotes are see or interacted with (tips / programmatic licensing) the original author gets paid / original post gains more traction.
it’s a play on remixing, but more simplified to the action of quoting
