On October 3rd, The Scaling Summit, hosted by 499, was successfully held during TOKEN2049 Singapore.
Centered around the three core themes of "Ethereum · AI · Blockchain for Good," three parallel sessions and 61 distinguished guests explored the next generation of the intelligent economy.
From Ethereum infrastructure to AI Agent standards, and from decentralized computing to philanthropic innovation, this summit demonstrated the blockchain industry's true "Scaling Moment."

The summit attracted participation from top-tier institutions, including: Intelligent Internet, UNDP, Pantera Capital, YZi Labs, Hack VC, Base, Solana Foundation, BNBChain, MetaMask, 0G, Blockchain Builders Fund, Tess Ventures, Paramita VC, Arcanum Capital, Animoca Brands, SevenX Ventures, MH Ventures, Ava Labs, Linea, EthStorage, Boundless, Nethermind, ChaosChain, Near, FLock.io, io.net, Vyper, L2BEAT, Solomon JFZ Asia, R2, Ant Lab, Vana, VitaDAO, Gero, Growth Ensemble, Innovation Alliance, 071 Labs, and more.
Guests across the three themed stages—Ethereum · AI & Hackathon · Blockchain for Good—collectively sketched the technological landscape and value direction of the next Web3 cycle.

The Scaling Summit
Tomasz Stańczak, Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, presented a brand-new AI narrative:
"AI is not just a 'tool running on-chain,' but will possess its own on-chain identity and economy."
The ERC-8004 / X402 standard he proposed is the core protocol allowing AI Agents to perform autonomous signing, payments, and identity verification.
In Tomasz's view, Ethereum's next phase is to become the global "Neutral Trust Layer for AI Interaction." This means future AI agents will not only generate content but also execute contracts and economic activities on-chain.

Turning to finance, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou reminded us: RWA (Real World Assets) has moved from concept to scale. In the past three years, the total market cap of this sector has grown by over 400%, while the stablecoin market cap has surpassed $300 billion. Cross-border payments have grown by over 1000% year-over-year.
"Stablecoins and tokenized assets are no longer future concepts, but key engines for the efficiency and transparency of the global financial system."
Ben also shared Bybit's latest layout in bridging TradFi and Crypto:
Launched an enterprise-level B2B and institutional services department.
Partnered with QNB Group, DMZ Finance, and Standard Chartered to launch a DFSA-approved tokenized money market fund.
Signed a strategic partnership with Circle to expand global USDC liquidity.
Launched gold tokenization products on the TON chain and expanded treasury yield RWA products.

Emad Mostaque, Founder of Intelligent Internet, completed the "humanistic side" of this narrative on the AI stage. His concept of "Bitcoin for the Intelligent Age" aims to make AI a decentralized, open public resource.
"AI should not be monopolized by a few giants but should be collectively owned by every user."
The Foundation Coin (FC) his team is developing will incentivize high-quality model and data contributions, allowing compute contributors to earn verifiable yields. The destination of decentralized AI is not just smarter machines, but a fairer intelligent society.

Helen Liu, Initiator of the Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA), brought a different warmth to the discussion. She advocated:
"Blockchain should not just be about exchanges and tokens, but a tool for solving social problems."
BGA has organized over 100 events in 70 countries, supporting projects in climate, education, and philanthropy, with a total funding pool exceeding $600,000. Under their promotion, Bybit has also invested millions of dollars to support agricultural micro-loans and ESG projects. This signifies that decentralization is not just a structure, but an ethic.

Nihal Maunder of Pantera Capital and Ella Zhang of YZi Labs both agreed:
The investment logic of the new cycle has shifted from "hype narratives" to "real retention."
They are focusing on two questions:
Does the product have real users?
Can the model create sustainable cash flow?
Both mentioned promising directions including: The fusion of AI × DeFi and Tokenized Deposit Tokens (DAT). The latter could become the "bridge" between Traditional Finance (TradFi) and the Crypto World (DeFi).

Ryan Kim, Co-founder of Hashed, and Alex Odagiu, Investment Partner at YZi Labs, believe:
The fusion of Stablecoins and RWAs is becoming a critical inflection point for the global payment system.
Stablecoins are moving from "Speculative Tools" (1.0) and "Yield-Bearing Assets" (2.0) to "Global Payments & AI Revolution" (3.0). Programmable money will empower billions of AI agents to complete on-chain micropayments.
Ryan pointed out that friction costs in traditional FX settlement are as high as 2%-7%, whereas blockchain can achieve near-zero friction transmission. He is also bullish on IP Asset Tokenization, believing it will spawn a new hundred-billion-dollar market. Alex emphasized that enterprises should adopt a "Native Issuance" model for bringing equity on-chain. The transparency and real-time nature of on-chain funds will also challenge the traditional asset management landscape.

Yijing Shi, CMO of Kite AI, proposed a key proposition:
"The Programmable Trust Layer for the Agentic Internet"
She pointed out that the future internet will no longer rely on centralized platforms to establish trust, but will enable every AI Agent to collaborate safely on-chain through a Programmable Trust Layer. In this system, identity verification, data interaction, and payment settlement will all be automatically handled by smart contracts. Yijing emphasized that this is the critical infrastructure to "let AI truly possess autonomy" and will become the underlying fulcrum of the Agentic Economy.

Jialin Li, Co-founder of Hetu Protocol and Advaita Labs, proposed:
"Hetu 3.0: Deep Intelligence Money"
Hetu 3.0's brand-new Three-Money Stack redefines the deep intelligence monetary system of the AI economy. It allows verified AI work to produce capital, and lets capital conversely fund and bet on the next generation of AI economies.

Winnie Qiu (Co-Founder, Avinasi Labs) pointed out in her opening remarks at the Impact stage:
"It is not the invention itself that changes the world, but the innovation that is adopted at scale."
She emphasized: "A drug that only works in experiments cannot save people; a technology that cannot be popularized cannot create social value." In her view, Scaling is the bridge connecting inspiration and impact—every new user and every piece of data is a driving force for intelligence and progress. "When innovation reaches everyone, we are not just building companies, we are building the future."

Finally, at the global hackathon Hack the Intelligence: Transform on BNB Chain @TOKEN2049 Singapore, Lucas Liao, Head of BNB Chain Ecosystem, summarized his vision of the future in one sentence:
"Scaling is not just expansion, it is co-building."
He introduced BNB Chain's "Three-Layer Architecture": BSC (Mainnet) provides security, opBNB (L2) handles high-performance scaling, and Greenfield (Storage) allows data to be accessed by AI. BNB is becoming a "testbed for AI and DePIN applications" with its low-gas, cross-chain programmable architecture.
The emergence of this hierarchical structure also means the Web3 ecosystem is finally beginning to support "AI-level computational scale."
