If you're reading this, I've not given up on getting a writing and publishing habit going.

However, a quick view of the last time I published here might clue you in to the fact that I've not succeeded at building a consistent habit.
Why is that?
Don't know, really. Maybe it's because maintaining a habit consistently requires a lot of mental effort, especially in the beginning.
Or I'm afraid?
Nah...
Doesn't matter the reason(s), actually, I still want to do it. So, I'm thinking of tying it to my morning coffee and "old-school" (i.e. handwritten) journaling habit.
I'll let you know how it goes...
Anyone got some good tips for making it a habit? Other than Nike's slogan?

I've learned that if I schedule it, then I'll do it. Adding it to a to-do list is okay, but I've found that scheduling tasks by the hour is much more effective. You know what you'll be doing during that time. And I also make a point now to work on my own projects before I start on client projects.
I'm definitely not normally an organized person, lol. Who knew? :-D But, I have learned a lot, and you're right, scheduling it is how it gets done. Do you know ahead of time what you're going to be writing about? I'm thinking that if I create a list of topics or ideas that I'll be more likely to do it. And again, am learning how important it is to work on my own stuff first - but I don't always do it. You are very productive...any other tips?
