In the 21st century, there is no longer a day when we do not see technology. Today and yesterday, we are interacting with each other through our smartphones and various devices, and I don't think we think much about where it's going.
Now, in 2022, decentralized finance seems to be even more confusing. What I mean by that is that terms like NFT and DAO are "disappearing".
So, what are the DAOs of the future, or even Post DAOs, as I feel like writing about them?
First of all, please take a look at this Google Sheet. The most famous one is VitaDAO, which seems to be a little different from DeFi so far.
It seems to me that Web2 has come so far with the momentum that software eclipses everything. NFT may just be the start of it.
The metaverse is the first hint of how we might imagine eating the real world, and the concepts that will emerge may be reminiscent of the games Halo and Disteny.
Why does DeSci seem like a great thing?
This is not just the madness of tech pundits. Camping, DIY, and cooking, for example, seem to be elements that will never quit no matter how convenient technology becomes. Why is that?
I think it comes down to the fact that this is the raison d'etre of technology. You might think that the reason why tech exists is because it can be a friend that enriches people's lives and pushes the envelope. But personally, I think there's more to it than that, and that's the fun of using it. Or rather, I believe that there is a kind of philosophy of use inherent in tech.
This is why there is a path, and why musical instruments, cooking tools, and DIY tools can be soulful companions. If tech had enriched our lives, or, to put it in a narrower sense, made them more convenient, we might have used IT, but there would have been no need for a shiny keyboard. The reason why keyboards are shiny is because we are attached to them to some extent.
And it seems to have come back again with the word DeSci. Maybe you thought the future was going to be cyberpunk, but it might actually be more boring. But there are definitely countless possibilities out there, and it will be interesting to see what kind of life will be defined by the new trend that will be born from the convergence of Web3, modern medicine, and artwork.
