The conversation surrounding contentcoins is generating significant buzz across Warpcast and X, with opinions ranging from enthusiastic adoption to outright skepticism. However, as an artist and builder in the web3 space, my experience focuses less on fleeting trends and more on actively laying the groundwork for the future success of my art-centric project within this new kind of creator economy. This is my viewpoint as someone deeply engaged in experimenting with content, coins, and the evolving attention engine.
As an artist, I've been exploring the possibilities of coining various creations on Zora — animations, individual artworks, and even my web3 games: BizarreBeasts: TicTacToe, Head Crush, and Memory Game.
For me, it’s not about chasing quick profits or manipulating market moves to extract value into my wallet; it’s about embedding my work within the broader web3 ecosystem and giving it a sense of permanence and value among all the other pieces of content and artwork.
These coins aren’t about short-term gains but about establishing a foundation of future value. Each adds a layer of social validation and acts as a signal, offering a new, unique, and accessible way for individuals to connect with and participate in the BIZARRE world I'm building.
This approach serves as a form of outreach, a method of distribution, and a tool for community engagement, bringing additional visibility to my project and artwork. I believe that a project's success in web3 is built upon three pillars: community, culture, and coins.
Contentcoins are a tool that helps me combine all three of those BIZARRE pillars: a social signal, a creative artifact, and something tangible for my community to hold (and hopefully gain value from over time).
Every coined piece becomes an entry point into my onchain narrative. It's a simple way for someone to collect and join the broader BizarreBeasts community.
It’s undeniable that speculation exists within this space. That’s inherent to crypto and, frankly, to culture itself. The crucial point, however, isn’t the presence of speculation but the underlying intention.
Some concerns about content coins being used solely to extract attention and value from the market are valid and worth considering. A cycle of simply creating content to coin it and repeating that process doesn't inherently build lasting value and can indeed lead to manipulative behaviors.
But that’s not the approach I’m taking, and I don’t believe it represents this technology’s full potential for fostering genuine connection and building lasting ecosystems.
There’s a significant difference between trying to extract value from an audience and genuinely inviting them into a creative world. I’m focused on the latter. My goal isn’t to create fleeting content but to build something with long-term substance that stacks, layer by layer.
The contentcoins I create are not isolated entities. I’m using them as fundamental components in building something larger: my onchain BizarreBeasts ($BB) Empire, powered by the GLANKER platform. This collection of tokens represents an evolving archive of the value I’m generating within my project's treasury. These coins, each tied to a piece of the BizarreBeasts universe, function like digital building blocks, allowing my community to hold a tangible piece of our shared culture and the value we collectively create.
Type | Title | Market Cap (USD) | Holders |
---|---|---|---|
Game | BizarreBeasts: TicTacToe | $1,463 | 20 |
Game | BizarreBeasts: Head Crush | $1,410 | 31 |
Game | BizarreBeasts Memory Game | $1,503 | 13 |
Art | Buy Opportunity | $4,233 | 8 |
Art | Calzone flying retro blue balloon | $4,233 | 10 |
Subtotal (Game Coins): $4,376
Subtotal (Art Coins): $8,466
Combined market cap across these listed coins: $12,842
Additional contentcoins (not listed here): approx. $20,000
(data sourced from Zora on April 21, 2025)
These aren't merely tokens. My aim extends beyond simply creating contentcoin; I'm focused on cultivating a robust ecosystem of stackable, tokenized BizarreBeasts content.
The web3 attention economy is still in its early stages. We're only beginning to scratch the surface of the long-term value that these digital signals can create. However, I remain optimistic as the conversation around contentcoins continues to evolve.
The focus is shifting. We're moving beyond immediate price appreciation to prioritize creator sustainability, community ownership, and innovative economic storytelling. We're actively exploring how contentcoins can transition from novelties into fundamental infrastructure.
To truly unlock the generative potential of contentcoins and ensure their continued evolution, the web3 community needs to prioritize:
Improved user experience and tools for creators
Clearer educational resources for audiences regarding the nature and purpose of these coins
More refined categorization of contentcoin types — artistic, cultural, memetic
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution but represents a significant new layer for creative endeavors. As a creator, I'm committed to contributing to its continued evolution.
Jesse Pollak’s recent call for creators to document their experiences, to share their perspectives, and to contribute to the ongoing dialogue resonated with me. This is my contribution.
My experience with content coins has been positive, both rewarding as an artist and exciting as a web3 advocate. I’m genuinely having fun — coining content, sharing it with my community and Empire, and watching these coins grow in meaning and value. Even something as simple as earning $11 in creator fees so far has felt affirming; it’s not just about the money, it’s the signal that people are connecting with what I’m creating. Not because of significant financial gains (yet), but because it has provided increased visibility for my work and offered my community a tangible way to participate in the BizarreBeasts universe.
That, to me, represents genuine value.
So, I am coining this article as a symbolic gesture: a demonstration of what is possible, a reflection of my beliefs, and a contribution to the creator-driven economy I envision for web3.
My involvement extends beyond simply observing the evolution of the creator economy; I am actively building within it. With thoughtful intention, content coins have the potential to become the foundational elements of a more vibrant, creator-centric future – a future where community, culture, and coins intersect.
As the artist and creator behind BizarreBeasts, I'm constantly exploring the exciting intersection of my lifelong passion for illustration and the darkly humorous world of outsider art with the innovative possibilities of web3. I'm drawn to the space where the comical and unsettling coexist, which influences the unique characters and narratives I craft within the BizarreBeasts universe.
For me, BizarreBeasts is more than just digital collectibles; it's a fusion of my artistic vision and the potential of decentralized technology to build community and foster new forms of economy. This article reflects my hands-on exploration of content coins as a tool to weave together community, culture, and coin within the BizarreBeasts ecosystem, showcasing my approach as both an artist and an active builder in the web3 space.
BizarreBeasts is a creative universe centered around hand-illustrated, original characters brought to life through onchain artwork, comic strips, animations, original music, and interactive games. This project explores the darkly humorous and often unsettling aspects of existence, blending a lifelong passion for outsider art with the innovative possibilities of web3.
More than just digital collectibles, BizarreBeasts aims to build a vibrant community where art and decentralized technology converge. The $BB token fuels this ecosystem, empowering collectors to actively participate in an ever-expanding narrative and a unique artistic journey that draws inspiration from both modern pop culture and the timeless echoes of ancient art.

Contentcoins are basically programmable patronage tokens - allowing creators to encode their whole ecosystem into money legos. Been watching $BB for a while - love seeing creatives go full web3-native with their monetization 🪙✨
