It’s been a long few years. Crypto Winters are particularly chilly. 🥶
Up, down, or sideways, the Wip Meetup rides any market sentiment like a thoroughbred steed into the setting sun of the metaverse. 🐴
And this week we’re riding with celebrated artists Rutger and Kane, so saddle up as we lasso their latest and greatest into the spotlight for another jam-packed week of action! 🤠
But first… About The WIP Meetup: Welcome to the longest-running, community-first metaverse hub, delivering the metaverse’s greatest hits every Thursday at 7 pm UTC. 🕖
We kicked off with the classic WIP Hyperfy parcel bonanza, this time complete with all the leftover WIPsgiving floats and goodies. 🎈
There’s just something about leftover Thanksgiving goodies that capture the essence of the early holiday season – oh, and given it’s an American holiday, we added some burgers to the mix. 🦃🍔
Throw in a covered wagon, and you end up with El3eau, Rizzle, and Fabiano looking like they’re leading some sandwiches Westward to their new home in Kansas! 🌄
Good – we’ll need the extra wagon space for all the amazing digital art we’ll collect this week! 🖼️
We had the pleasure of speaking with Rutger van der Tas at this week’s WIP Meetup, where he filled us in on his latest collection, Absolution. 👀
The collection captures the swirling intersections of art, finance, technology, and the thread of human experiences running concurrently through each, interpolating narratives and perspectives and evolving with time and markets. ⏲️📊

Next, we dropped into Kane Mayfield’s plot in Voxels to learn about his upcoming album Dust!
With the pad poppin’, it was time to dig in and learn how Kane is making history with digital art and music. 🎵
To say Dust is special would be doing it a disservice – this is the first Bitcoin album in existence. 🤯
Kane recorded the sounds of a Bitcoin miner programmed to make specific dings, rings, and bings when undertaking certain actions. 🤖
He then interweaves these sounds into the album in subtle, often undetectable ways to create a seamlessly enjoyable listening experience seasoned with Bitcoin goodness. 📀
Kane is continually pushing the boundaries of digital art in so many ways. 🚀
Dust will be unlockable on Bitcoin and be available on Ethereum via the Emblem Vault as a Bitocin asset, making it the first cross-chain music asset to date. 🥇
Tokens will be airdropped to the first collectors and redeemable for a vinyl copy. ⏺️
