Over a year ago, we announced that Mirror and Paragraph would be combining forces. Since then, we’ve been working toward a single goal: building the best home for reading and writing on the internet, one that helps writers reach more readers and feel appreciated & supported in new ways.
To make that vision real, we’re focusing all of our energy on improving Paragraph, and bringing the best of Mirror into a single, evolving product. As part of that transition, we’ll be winding down Mirror over the next month or so.
If you've ever written on Mirror, your posts and subscribers will be automatically migrated to Paragraph. Your writing will remain live and readers visiting your Mirror blog will be redirected to your new home on Paragraph. No action by you is required.
Bringing everything together on Paragraph has already allowed us to move faster and experiment more effectively. Over the past few months, we've shipped new ways for readers to support and show their appreciation for their favorite writing:
Post coins — support ideas they love and share it with the world.
Remixing — respond to a post & share in the growth of the combined discussion.
Writer coins — back your favorite writers, beyond a single post.
We’re excited to keep exploring new ways for writers to share meaningful work and be supported by the readers who care about it.

Will there be a specific date when you'll no longer be able to mint an entry on Mirror? · 👓 🔵
No specific date, but a decent chance it'll be some time in October. We'll see!
So, are you combining both apps in a single product?
Yes, that's the plan.
Good
But you cannot mint texts anymore. And I have a Guild where you gain access by minting Mirror essays. What can I do about this? There's no way to collect or own writings as assets anymore...
We may bring back some form of gating (e.g., readers need a certain amount of post coins or writers coins to be able to read a post or series of posts). But historically, gating any type of writing hasn't generated meaningful earnings for writers on Mirror or Paragraph, so we just have to prioritize this effort accordingly.
BLESSED
GM guys, as you might remember I already manually transitioned. Is there a way to opt out of a potential duplication that could now happen?
At a minimum, if the automated import creates a duplicate publication, you can easily & safely delete it from your Paragraph account. We'll provide more instructions on how to do this as part of the merger.
Sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing the platform evolve
