“With the Paragraph mini app… better connect with readers where they are.” https://paragraph.xyz/@blog/paragraph-mini-app-on-farcaster
Since we launched the Paragraph miniapp last week, there's been thousands of users that read a Paragraph post without leaving the feed. We're now beginning to track & show these pageviews (including reading time) in your Paragraph post metrics. We'll soon be slicing metrics by source, so you'll be able to see exactly how your readers are engaging with your content, no matter where they are. 100% massive improvement in readability. You said that you would deliver and you delivered.
This is huge, and I'm so excited about the mini-app! Once you start tracking the page views and other metrics, I imagine you'll have access to users' identity info (including FIDs) when they click to read in-frame via the mini-app, just as you would with other frames. Is that correct? And if so, could that info be used for the purpose of rewarding readers with Moxie in the background, just as users can be rewarded when they engage with other types of frames? I'm thinking about possible Moxie use cases here.
I love the mini app. But I have a counter-intuitive suggestion: I'd love a small place to click--even if subtle and a iykyk feature where I could click it and open the article in paragraph. The reason: on desktop, i like to leave tabs open of paragraph articles to read sometime together. The mini app on desktop is really small. If you have a big monitor to make reading on your eyes, the mini app is really counter productive. I read less paragraph articles since the mini app even though it's slick. I'd like the option.
Great feedback! We've heard similar-ish comments. e.g., People wanting to copy the link to add to a "read later" app. We'll think about how we could go about this — thanks again!
Another +1 to what Brad wrote. Love the mini app and I'm happy to be able to read that way without even leaving the feed, but I'd also like to be able to open the article in a browser tab.
Wanted to say this but you've voiced my thoughts perfectly.
