CESS Attended the HK Web3 Month Conference: Building the Web3 Data Value Network
The HK Web3 Month, spanning from October 29 to November 18, featured an in-person conference held in Hong Kong from November 6 to 7. The event sought to bring together industry pioneers to delve into the developing Web3 economy in the Asia-Pacific region. Activities like “Polkadot HK Day,” “Ethereum HK Day: Road to DevCon,” and “Polygon HK Day: Ushering Polygon 2.0,” each centred around distinct ecosystems, garnered significant attention and participation from the Web3 industry.CESS (Cumulus ...

CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content decentralized delivery network (CD²N) infrastructure for Web3.
Significant optimizations were made to the TEE Worker codebase, including refactoring certain modules and resolution of anomalies to facilitate future online upgrades and maintenance.
Added user prompts for storage nodes when the program fails to start properly, aiding users in understanding the reasons for unsuccessful execution.
Completed testing of the new versions of CESS Node, TEE Worker, and storage nodes, along with synchronous upgrades to DeOSS. The CESS storage network is poised for a new phase of development!
Explore the vibrant array of CESS’s May events, from the ETH DC, DC Blockchain Summit 2024, to the London Blockchain Conference, and the Consensus2024.
CESS Co-Founder, Joseph Li, participated in a space event ‘How does Web3 drive AI model training?’ hosted by PublicAI.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
CESS Node added a reservoir module, allowing storage nodes to temporarily borrow tokens from the reservoir for staking.
Completed testing of the new versions of CESS Node and TEE Worker functionalities.
Optimized TEE Worker codebase by refactoring certain modules, facilitating future maintenance and upgrades.
Fixed an issue with TEE Worker event retraction, resolving warnings in the problematic code.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.10]
Renamed the storage node program and its related code repository from “bucket” to “cess-miner” for better user differentiation.
Added user prompts for when the storage node program fails to start properly, helping users understand the reasons for unsuccessful runs.
Completed testing of the new version of storage nodes’ functionalities.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Added detailed usage documentation for all interfaces in the go-sdk code repository.
Completed the development of the main features of the lightweight cache client, providing users with more diversified data upload and download services.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Completed the development and testing of all functionalities of the new version of the DAO Cloud Mining Activity Points Mechanism.
102 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
33 consensus nodes
10,628 storage nodes
20.10 PiB verified storage space
34.10 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
In May, CESS is joining key blockchain events worldwide. From ETH DC on May 14 in Washington DC, and even delving into the DC Blockchain Summit 2024 on May 15, as well as the London Blockchain Conference from May 21–23, and Consensus2024 from May 29–31 in Texas, Austin.

CESS Co-Founder, Joseph Li, was invited to participate in a space event ‘How does Web3 drive AI model training?’ hosted by PublicAI. Alongside pioneering projects io.net, Nimble Network, and 0G Labs. These discussions have provided valuable perspectives that will inform CESS’s future development and strategy in the Web3 and AI sectors.
