Dear courageous commoners
Winter bites in our noses and searching for gloves has become part of our morning routines❄️🧤. An emergency radiator fix was needed in the Commons Hub last week, luckily we can always count on Zak, who takes care of the building and is currently building a restaurant on the ground floor. So no worries, cosiness and warmth are still abundant in the Commons Hub! Our couches, with view on the trees, are perfect for some wintering and cosy chatting. 🕯 Also, we have a Christmas tree, perfect for the upcoming Christmas market we are hosting 🎄 (Thank you Kris!)
November was once again filled with new encounters and coworkers. Many new people joined the community. A warm welcome to Barbara, Paul and Michaël from Réseau de collectifs en recherche de résilience, Bénédicte and Texas from La Fondation Mycelium and Hadiel from Kaira Fund. Hugo is building InFlights and flies drones to measure rooftops, very useful if you want some solarpanels on your roof. And Quentin develops Bevoy a platform to support well-being within organisations.
And with that, we have about 15 coworkers walking in daily and sharing work, life and coffee cups ☕. It also means that we have only about 10 spots left ... did we say the community is growing fast 🫣. Come visit us if you are interested in joining!
Also our wider members community is growing. And all new members share one thing: they want to bring their passion to Brussels and use the space to experiment with different offerings. Most beautiful examples are the Regenerative Fridays with a variety of offerings to regenerate after a busy week, new member Rebeka will start mindfulness courses on Mondays in January in the Angel Room, and Timothée, Leen and Sino are preparing a leadership training in January.
Winter will be full of warm welcomes. ⛄

A full immersive day on leadership for pioneering founders, entrepreneurs, thinkers and visionaries to enter a new leadership paradigm. It is a conversation we needed to bring to the Commons Hub, a space where we ask ourselves the questions of right and thought leadership for the 21st century every day. What is leadership in community? How do we optimise for self organising teams? What is stewardship and shared responsibility? How do we value contributions? How do we motivate people? Where did the role of the CEO go? Is this still the right way to move forward? We live more questions than answers.
This day is not a typical training on leadership. Guided by an incredible list of guest speakers and facilitators, we will take a deep dive into mind and body, through workshops, artistic experiences and great conversations. The magic happens when we gather, and share experiences. Feel very welcome to join us.
