You either subscribed or are receiving a forwarded copy from a friend—either way, I’m glad to have you in the Cryptoversal community.Too Much to LearnI was talking to an author this week who was making the shift from traditional publishing into Web3, and she was feeling overwhelmed with all that she needed to learn about formats, platforms, and file storage. Does it get easier ...

The Mother of Mother’s Day Experiment Begins
Mother’s Day: The ExperimentIn traditional publishing, the book launch is an event that people react to—or not. Authors can (and should) build a marketing campaign to call people to the action of buying their book. The optimal reader journey is:get the book;read the book;leave a positive review; andanticipate the next book.Over the past two years, I’ve put a lot of thought into how to improve the traditional ebook experience in terms of ownership and utility. But I’ve put less thought into im...

Mytho-Crypto 3.7: Is OpenSea a Criminal Enterprise?
Sorry to offer a bit of righteous anger this week. I was prepared to release another post about the exciting potential for art and technology to combine, but my phone buzzed itself and myself out of our respective sleep modes this morning with news that a multibillion-dollar company, to preserve its market share, would be taking money from creators’ pockets and food from the mouths of our children. The NewsFrom NFT Now:Today (Feburary 17, 2023), the world’s largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, ma...

Big, big news for the Wordler Village community--check your Cent account for airdropped Co-Author tokens!
Co-author tokens are Wordler Village story vignettes that have been immutably linked on the blockchain to the ToMCAL license agreement, thanks to our licensing partners at MINTangible. The ToMCAL grants co-authorship rights in various characters, settings, and timelines of the Wordler Village REALM. Tokens and their rights can be stacked to open unlimited possibilities.
As a worldbuilder and storyteller, I'm excited about being able to share the rights in Wordler Village IP and see what my co-authors are able to create.
23 collections of co-author tokens were originally minted through our minting partners at Cent Pages during the NIGHTfall storyline by hundreds of Wordler Village subscribers. However, four of these collections were issued with metadata defects that made them incompatible with the MINTangible service.
Today, I'm pleased to report that corrected tokens have been airdropped to all of the Cent custodial wallets that originally minted them. Owners of those accounts can transfer the co-author tokens from Cent to any external wallet they like. The new tokens exist in addition to the legacy tokens, so you likely own twins.
Updated tokens include:
NIGHTfall #1: The WACKY Token
NIGHTfall #4: The TRITE Token
NIGHTfall #6: The TRYST Token
NIGHTfall #8: The POWER Token
Over the next week, I'll be updating the ToMCAL to cover the updated Co-Author Tokens and using the MINTangible service to verify, authenticate, and bind them to the licenses.
Details will be posted to the Cryptoversal website, feel free to ask questions in the Discord and thanks for being part of the Cryptoversal family.
