You’ve always heard of people talking about why mental health is the key to success. But why?
Mental health is the primary pillar of your successful life. Without it, you can have everything you need for complete success right infront of you, yet not even have the motivation or confidence to use it.
Confidence is your ability to believe in yourself.
Mental health is critical towards your self confidence. By preventing your full potential, you’re playing a dangerous game with yourself.
What does confidence give you?
The courage to talk to that stranger.
The strength to go do that workout.
The drive to start a new business.
If you aren’t confident, you won’t be able to get anything off the ground.
Confidence isn’t too difficult to strengthen either. All you need to do is look at the progress you’ve made. Reading that book, putting some extra work in, studying for an extra minute. It’s all progress.
Simply believing in yourself can boost your confidence.
The harder you work, the higher your results.
Good mental health grants you the motivation and discipline to do hard work, even when you don’t feel like it.
By being disciplined and always motivated, your productivity and overall results will skyrocket atleast tenfold. You’ll be able to actually feel like you’re putting effort into whatever you’re doing.
You’ll be able to kick those crappy habits you’re always letting control you all the time.
Mental health is the sole reason why you haven’t been able to kick bad habits like video games or social media or junk food. With bad mental health, your brain strives for comfort and pleasure to ease the pain.
Those with strong mental health have discipline. Those that don’t continue to wonder why they can’t strengthen it.
You have to increase your mental health before you can have any motivation to do all of these great things in life.
Mental health, for obvious reasons, changes your mood quite a bit.
If you have a bad mood, what will your brain do? Will it feel like making that new article or will it feel like numbing the pain first?
You guessed it; the latter.
Your brain, unfortunately in this modern world, has been conditioned to feel rather than think.
When your brain realizes it is going through a hardship, it will automatically attempt to make itself feel good rather than just pushing through it.
In reality, the pain you experience momentarily will be alot worse than wasting time feeding an addiction.
Your mood ties a lot into your motivation and overall discipline.
You cannot have one without the other, no matter what. Why?
Again, what does the brain prioritize? Let’s take a look.
On the pyramid, all the way near the bottom, you have your safety needs. Your health is in there.
Meanwhile, all the way at the top, is your self-actualization. Your motive and strive to become a better version of yourself.
Your brain prioritizes your mental health as it is more important and valuable.
Mental health is the main factor determining your current standing in the world. By not improving it, you’re not going to be able to do what you think you could.
Keeping your mental health strong can allow you to do great things in life.
I’m a 13 year old blogger who is looking to begin well, blogging. Please take my work with a grain of salt.
I look forward to your feedback, have a nice day! ❤
