Since our launch, Dreams Never Die’s primary mission has always been to reimagine what it means to be a music company. As a record label and music community, we strive to create new forms of sustainability around artists, creatives, and music fans alike. Many of these individuals are some of the most important and influential in the early stages of an artist's career, yet have often been overlooked within the traditional music landscape.
We’ve begun to change that. Through the likes of weekly recaps, IRL events or music NFT’s, Dreams Never Die has cultivated a community of like-minded individuals that all partake in the long-term upside of the artists they’ve helped grow — flipping the traditional label model on its head and bringing value back to early fans.
Here’s the full rundown:
This year, we sent out a total of 49 Weekly Recap newsletters, growing our subscriber base to 464 people. Beyond keeping everyone in the loop, we highlighted the community via Member Spotlights, and more recently, our Scouts Monthly Digest.

Throughout 2022, we held weekly recap calls every Friday that really allowed the community to blossom through constant, transparent updates on the happenings of DND and always ended with open-ended, enjoyable banter that became the glue that brought everyone together once a week.
Additionally, we also hosted multiple town halls, introduced our new community-branded events ‘Office Hours’ and ‘Artist Chats’, and hosted some amazing artists and influencers in the web3 music space from the likes of Reo Cragun, Daniel Allen, Cooper Turley, and REFS who all joined us for some candid chats.

With the creation of the Dreams Never Die community we’ve been able to give the artists we’re developing a “homebase” that really has become a very welcoming space that is much-needed in this fast-paced, often-times lonely place that is trying to get your music heard.
Aside from all the other values a web3 music label can bring to artist development, it’s the support of the community that really is the most important, and during our first year, we’ve really seen how powerful that can be.
Music release-wise, we had a lot of fun in 2022 dropping a lot of material from SLOE JACK, superflirt, namou, gcmayn, Tj loft, Rachel Honza, Dritic, BEL, Doublethink, and Tanisako.
Collectively, our roster released 13 NFTs, generating 15.978 ETH on primary sales.

This year we launched our Scouts and Writers Programs. Through these initiatives, we’ve begun to foster a more defined community around music discovery by providing music scouts and writers compensation, educational opportunities, and recognition around the quality of work that they do.
Since our launch, we’ve received 200+ music submissions—39 of these finds were approved for DND reach outs, BTD features, and/or potential signings. Last week, we sent out our first round of payments for these discoveries.
From hosting premiere parties in our virtual venue dreamsneverdie.club to our first unofficial meet-up at NFT NYC, shared experiences were a cornerstone of our community. A few months ago, we secured a DND House in Los Angeles, where we’ll be hosting more events in the new year.
This year, we also held Songs Never Die, a community-run writing camp in March. 11 artists from our roster and 30 community members participated. The teams were paired up and collaborated on songs together virtually.

In June we announced $2.5M in seed funding from Polychain Capital. Since then, we’ve begun allocating that capital toward our roadmap – developing and scaling artists in web2 and web3, compensating contributors, building out our NFT membership project for 2023 and more.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on an NFT Membership, which will be available to mint starting in early 2023. This membership will unlock access to Dreams Never Die and everything we will build in the future. More on that soon.
