I Found My Sound: A Journey Through Music, Fashion, and Lil Nouns
There comes a time when you stop searching and simply become. For me, that time was captured in the four songs that made IFMS: “Road,” “Activate,” “Applaud,” and “This Spot.” These tracks weren’t just a project, they are a declaration. A moment of emergence from darkness into clarity.I spent months living in my Friends music studio early 2024, disconnected from the world, trying to figure out who I was as an artist. In that solitude, I stumbled upon something completely new: Web3. As I dove d...

Farcaster has evolved rapidly, transforming from a social protocol into a powerful playground for builders, creators, and communities. With the introduction of Mini-Apps, developers can now create interactive apps that run directly within Farcaster posts enabling use cases from NFT minting to governance voting and more.
To further expand what's possible with Mini-Apps, We Them Media is organizing a Bootcamp & Hackathon an open call for developers, creators, and communities to build, learn, and collaborate around decentralized tools for media, governance, coordination, and culture.
Mini-Apps are small, modular dApps built into social posts on platforms like Farcaster, allowing users to interact without leaving the post. These apps are powered by an open-source API and supported across multiple Ethereum Layer 2 networks, including Base, Celo, Optimism, and Arbitrum.
This new app layer enables a wide range of interactive experiences minting NFTs, making payments, spinning up games, launching AI agents, and more all inside the Farcaster feed.
The Bootcamp and Hackathon is a multi-day event designed to introduce participants to Farcaster’s Mini-App ecosystem, support them through mentorship and workshops, and provide a collaborative space to prototype new ideas. It is open to all levels of experience and interests.
Participants will choose from six build tracks:
Tools that enhance collective decision-making, coordination, or treasury management. This track is ideal for those interested in DAO tooling, multisig flows, and UX for decentralized coordination.
Social dApps, onboarding solutions, and gamified participation systems. A good fit for Farcaster tinkerers, culture builders, and community architects.
Apps empowering creators, NFTs, open-source funding, and media monetization. Tailored for creatives and builders passionate about onchain culture.
A sandbox for experimental coders building playful or intuitive apps by combining creative code with AI-powered agents. Great for developers exploring the edge of UX and automation.
A dedicated track to help We Them Media explore new ways to present its content, engage audiences, and imagine decentralized tools for community-driven storytelling.
A wildcard category for unique ideas that don’t fit neatly into other tracks — ideal for first-time builders or those wanting to test bold, experimental concepts.
A total of 6.5 ETH in bounties and community support is available to participants:
3 ETH for flagship app bounties (DAO tools, creator infrastructure, and media innovation)
1 ETH for beginner-friendly and micro bounties
2.5 ETH allocated toward operations, mentorship, and storytelling
Participants will receive support before and during the event, including:
Community calls and check-ins
Mentorship sessions and live feedback
X Spaces panels and Discord Vibe Sessions
Live speaker sessions, streamed to 500+ viewers
Project highlights shared across YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, Zora, and Farcaster
All projects will be reviewed and judged based on criteria such as usability, originality, execution quality, alignment with track goals, and cultural relevance. Bonus points will be awarded for community value.
The Bootcamp & Hackathon is supported by a growing list of community partners, including:
Creative Alchemy
NounsDAO Africa
Hussle Yangu
Everybody Needs Base
Aquari
BuildaDAO
NFTs Africa
Devdorm
Let’s Build a DAO
Additionally, the event is collaborating closely with Web3Bridge’s 13th cohort and developer networks across Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
Confirmed supporters and volunteers include:
Sirsu – Early Farcaster contributor
Bixbite & Mike Good – Builders from Lil Nouns
Members of Purple DAO, with additional mentors to be announced
Developers, creators, and builders can participate by registering for the Bootcamp and selecting a track.
Speakers, mentors, and project reviewers are encouraged to reach out to support the event.
