Holis Gang,
We’ve made it to newsletter infinity, that’s #8 sideways! A big moment for two reasons:
One, it’s my favorite number. Two, my brilliant cofounder Amira is joining me to co-write this edition. If you don’t know her yet, Amira is the reason our operations don’t get lost in the sauce. She keeps me grounded when I drift too far into creative delulu mode.
This Is the best one yet because This is what you’ll find:
✨ Recaps from Permissionless and EthCC
Raw truths about what really happens after you host an event
🧘♀️ Why conscious experience design is the future
Hackathons and events coming up
Marketers in the Arena Recap (a permissionless side event)
We wrapped June with Marketers in the Arena, a founder-focused event hosted by Stellar and Myosin at Public Records, alongside our friends at Refraction.
This wasn’t your average mixer. It was built for builders; designed to leave you with tactics, stories, and strategies to bring back to your team.

💡 Highlights:
• Simon Yi (Myosin) kicked it off with a keynote on why specificity = is the marketing superpower
• Kate from Stellar broke down how their hands-on grant program can supercharge go-to-market support
• We talked about the gap between playbooks and the trenches, and what it really takes to tell stories that land and earn trust
Oh, and we soft-launched something fun…
The Way of Marketing: a mini book with 8 acts, handed out as swag, but really the start of a deeper project.

If you were there, you felt it. The energy. The alignment. The hunger to build better.
Stellar backed this because they know ecosystems grow through real activation, education, and presence, not hype. And in case you missed it, Guava is now Myosin’s official event execution partner. We’re excited about this collaboration because Guava brings marketing to life, and Myosin is here to amplify that impact at every level.
This is what happens when real marketers get in the arena.
Insight from Amira.
Got a great product but no sticky community?
You’ve probably tried:
Running a webinar or two with decent turnout… but zero follow-up.
Starting a Discord or Slack that went quiet after a few weeks.
Posting on socials, hoping someone engages.
The truth is: community doesn’t grow from content alone. It grows from connection, but you don’t have the time or systems in place to make that happen consistently.
We’ve seen brands transform one-off hackathons into a series that drives repeat engagement and content momentum with the right system in place.
The Misconceptions
Misconception #1: “Community” means just launching a group.
Nope, community requires consistent touchpoints, not just one channel.
Misconception #2: Events are a one-time engagement play.
The real value comes from using events to feed your retention, content, and funnel strategies, not just boost engagement once.
Misconception #3: You need a full-time team to run it all.
You don’t need more hands, you need a tight system that runs repeatedly and keeps people coming back.
What you want
You want people to actually show up. To stay. To bring others. To feel something when they engage with your brand. To convert leads into loyal users or customers.
But more than that?
You want a system that turns those one-off engagements into something bigger. Community momentum, better retention, and a flywheel that runs even when you don’t.
What we do differently
We’ve built communities across various industries and hosted successful online events, ranging from hackathons with thousands of attendees to grassroots activations that spark genuine conversations.
As community-first marketers, we don’t just run events. We build systems that turn attendees to regulars, and regulars into advocates.
We’ve done it across formats, with systems that even lean teams can manage.
What we recommend
The Community Engine: Guava’s Online Events + Email Follow-Up System
A 6-8 week engagement where we:
Design + run a weekly online event format (AMA, interview series, webinar, build-along, demo day, etc.)
Create your event calendar and execution process
Build your marketing and email follow-up system to nurture leads + attendees
Automate event invites and follow-up
Show you how to turn every session into content you can repurpose
You walk away with:
A weekly online event system your team can run with ease
An email funnel that keeps attendees engaged between sessions
Community-focused strategy tailored to your brand’s goals
A simple ops system your team or VA can run async
A repeatable way to turn event content into social, email, or YouTube clips (we’ll show you how)
Optional add-ons:
We host the events for you
Reporting + strategy wrap-up with content repurposing ideas
This is for you if…
→ You’re a brand, startup, or creator building a community, not just an audience
→ You want to engage your audience regularly, without creating more manual work
→ You’ve run events before, but haven’t seen them turn into long-term community energy
→ You believe connection is the core of your brand, you just need the right rhythm
Want to see what this could look like for your brand?
Book a 20-min call and we’ll map out a plug-and-play weekly event flow you can launch quickly, even if you’ve never run consistent events before.
Stef in Cannes: Conscious Events, Real Connection
Now let’s talk EthCC Cannes. (Hi again, it’s Stef.)
We showed up to all the hits: Mantle, Stellar, Kraken, WalletConnect, Zerion x Dayana’s pre-RAAVE… and loved every second.
But by the end?
🔥 The heat was intense
The people-ing was real
The burnout? Creeping in
So, we added a little wellness to the mix. We closed with two regenerative events for our close friends + clients:
Sunset w/ Myosin - a boat ride at sea, just quality time.

Cannes You Come? - a wellness spa day and cheeky invite that made people feel something.

Because here’s our philosophy: Events shouldn’t drain. They should heal.
Your investors, your teammates, your community: they’re human.
And in crypto, burnout feels more like a feature than a bug, decompression is key.
At Guava, we believe health is your most valuable asset. It’s the base layer. It’s how you unlock presence. And so is the ability to connect authentically.
That’s why we’ve been bringing wellness to stages all over the world. Not as a cute extra, but as a must-have even for ourselves after a busy week of production. We’ve done it in Bangkok and the Bahamas, incorporating sound baths, yoga sessions, and IV drips as the soul of the experience, because rest is productive.
And we’ve seen it happen. When people feel calm and fully present, they open up. They listen better. They build stronger.
We’re still showing up to the next RAAVE, we love to dance and celebrate.
But we’re doing it without leaving ourselves behind. Because parties are great, but so is remembering to rest and reboot.
We make it social. We make it sensorial. We make it sacred.
Just weird enough to be unforgettable.
Will you join us at the next one?
