54 THINGS IN 100 DAYS TO BECOME YOUR BEST VERSION
HOME

1. Plan out your 100-day clutter-busting schedule with groups of things you plan to tackle each day during that period. For example:
- Day 1: Organize your magazines
- Day 2: Organize your books
- Day 3: Organize your kitchen utensils
2. Always remember: There is a place for everything and everything is in its place. For the next 100 days, follow these four rules to keep your home organized:
- If you take something out, put it back
- If you open something, close it
- If you drop something, pick it up
- If you take clothes off, hang them up
3. Go around your house and find 100 things you regularly let go of and fix one each day. For example:
- A burnt-out light bulb that needs to be replaced
- A missing button on your favorite shirt
- Plastic food containers that fall out when you open the kitchen cabinets
HAPPINESS
4. Follow the positive advice of psychologists and write down 5 to 10 things you are grateful for every day.
5. Make a list of 20 small things you enjoy doing the most and make sure you do at least one of them every day for the next 100 days. Your list might include:
- Have lunch outside
- Talk to a friend
- Read a novel by your favorite author
6. Keep a record of your “self-talk,” both positive and negative, for 10 days. Be as specific as possible:
- How many times a day do you feel like you’ve won a battle against yourself?
- Do you feel unworthy?
- How often do you think about criticism from others?
- How many positive thoughts do you have each day?
Also, write down the emotions that accompany the thoughts. Then, over the next 90 days, start changing your emotions in a positive direction and try changing the way you “talk” to yourself from a different perspective.
7. Laugh hard – at least once a day: read a joke, watch a comedy, or chat with your best friends.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
8. Pick a book that requires effort and concentration, read a little bit every day, and finish it in 100 days.
9. Make it a point to learn at least one new thing every day: the name of a flower, a capital city, or a faraway country… And if it’s time to go to bed and you haven’t learned anything that day, take out your dictionary and learn some new vocabulary.
10. Stop complaining. Negative talk creates negative thoughts; negative thoughts lead to negative results. For the next 100 days, whenever you feel yourself about to complain, stop yourself.
11. Set your alarm clock one minute earlier every day for the next 100 days. Make sure you get out of bed as soon as it goes off. After just 100 days, you will soon find yourself waking up 1 hour and 40 minutes earlier than you do now.
12. Write down whatever comes to your mind every morning. This is a method introduced by Julia Cameron and is called Morning Pages. Remember to write it by hand. This will help keep the inspiration flowing.
13. Always remind yourself, motivate yourself with thoughts, words and images that best match the type of person you want to be, what you want to have and what you want to achieve.
FINANCE
14. Outline a reasonable spending plan. Track every penny in detail for the next 100 days and make sure you stick to the plan.
15. Apply appropriate and effective saving tips thoroughly for the next 100 days. Here are some tips that might work:
- Buy groceries with cash and calculate on a checkbook instead of using a credit card.
- Take inventory of leftovers in your home to avoid buying duplicate items when you go shopping.
- Break down your budget into smaller categories.
- Take 24 hours to think about whether you really need something new.
- Group multiple errands and do them in one trip to save gas.
Keep a log and track how much money you save after 100 days of using these tips.
16. When paying with cash, keep the change and put it in a jar. See how much you can save in total over those 100 days.
17. Don't buy anything that you don't absolutely need for 100 days. Instead, use the money you save by not buying unnecessary items on one of the following:
- Pay off debt, if you have any
- Build up your emergency fund for the next 6 months
- Start a separate fund for investing
TIME MANAGEMENT
18. Always carry a reminder notebook with you. Write things down instead of memorizing them in your head. You can easily find them and decide what to do next. For example:
- New ideas
- Appointments
