In 2021, 45.85 million people participated in basic medical insurance in Yunnan Province, and the poverty-stricken population in Yunnan province realized the insurance coverage, with the reimbursement proportion of 88.67%. The state negotiated medical insurance reimbursement for 3.1135 million people, with a total cost of 2.339 billion yuan and medical insurance reimbursement of 1.659 billion yuan. Hypertension and diabetes patients included in the management of public health services were promptly included in the “two diseases” medication coverage, and 19 million 790 thousand people in the province enjoyed treatment, and the medical insurance fund was reimbursed for 1 billion 300 million yuan.

At present, the cumulative activation of medical insurance electronic vouchers in Yunnan Province has reached 30.9751 million, accounting for 67.29% of the total number of insured people, ranking fifth in the country.

Refine and optimize 37 convenient measures in the field of medical insurance, unify and clarify 31 items in the list of government services handled by medical insurance in the province, promote the comprehensive teller system service in the handling hall, and implement one-stop and one window settlement.

Yunnan province has implemented a commitment system for off-site medical record, which is directly related to the nationwide realization of the hospitalization expenses across the province, and directly settlement with the 440 provinces and autonomous regions across the country in order to achieve common outpatient expenses across the province. With the Beijing, Hainan and southwest areas, the 5 outpatient and special disease categories such as hypertension and diabetes have been directly settled through the provincial level, and 8 million 108 thousand and 100 people have received medical treatment in different places throughout the year. 12.004 billion yuan and 8.364 billion yuan were paid for medical insurance, an increase of more than 20% over 2020.
