Solana is getting a lot of FUD right now because of the $Libra fiasco, and that’s understandable.
But as Zach said, it's not the chain's fault - scammers simply flock to where the activity is.
That said, I also believe the influencers pushing these scams should be called out and held accountable for their actions.
Still, despite the FUD, let’s not forget that tons of innovative products have been and are still being built on the chain:
• Helium Mobile & Roam – Making cellular coverage cheaper and more reliable.
• Hivemapper & NATIX Network – Real-time mapping networks that cost way less than traditional services.
• GEODNET & Onocoy – Taking GPS accuracy to the next level.
• Cudis & Pulse – Fitness wearables that give users control over their health data.
• Assisterr – An AI platform where anyone can create, train, and monetize specialized AI models.
• Audius – Allowing anyone to stream music on-chain.
• Ionet – Making GPU compute power cheaper, faster, and more accessible.
• AgriDex – Tokenizing real-world agricultural assets for anyone to participate in.
• Sourceful Energy – A virtual power plant.
And many others…
FUD comes and goes, but what’s being built on Solana is here to stay.
The work speaks for itself, and the future will make it even clearer.
