Bring new meaning and change to culture
There’s so much to comment on when it comes to retail. The most important question is: why is it declining? Without getting too philosophical—since “less” could be seen as reduced consumption, which might be a good thing—another reason is that in the UK, people seem to care less. The experience has become meaningless and impersonal.

Perhaps it really is quite true, in a very harsh way, less is more. More space gives options. If you create space, there are always enough things ready to step in and fill it. On the other side, humans still need to interact and do something, so they will need tools to do that. I have stepped out here. Perhaps I should have done it at 41 for Fig. However, I will be watching this area over the next 6 months.
Strategic Angle, Instead of focusing only on whether AI replaces existing tools, consider which firms are building the bridges between automation and human interaction. Look for signs of resilient demand: companies that remain indispensable even as AI reshapes workflows. - Track partnerships and adoption rates — these often reveal whether a company is adapting or being left behind.
