The parish of Santo Antão do Tojal is part of the union of parishes of Santo Antão and São Julião do Tojal (inhabitant 8607).

The Igreja Matriz was founded in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1554 by the archbishop of Lisbon, D. Fernando Vasconcelos e Menezes, and rebuilt in 1730 by the first patriarch of Lisbon, D. Tomás de Almeida.

On the façade, in the center, the image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição and a pediment topped by the archiepiscopal cross stand out, on the left side the image of Queen Santa Isabel and, on the right side, that of São João de Deus. The bell tower, crowned on all four sides, has three bells from the 18th century. In the galilee you can see the tile covering from the 18th century. The interior is simple, as it suffered a lot of damage during the First Republic.
