Metamask's creator, ConsenSys, introduces the fresh and hot Linea Goerli testnet. Are people overlooking something while hunting for the $mask airdrop? โ ๐ฅ Give Infura RPC a try! ๐ฅ

Let's try using Infura!
Infura is a service providing RPC endpoints to connect to blockchains (some people may have already used these kind of services through Alchemy during the $arb airdrop).
Infura is another beloved child of ConsenSys. Access it at https://app.infura.io/dashboard
Click "Create new API key"
Select "Web3 API" and give it a name.

Look at the top-right corner and click on "Endpoint".
Scroll down to see a list of our personal RPCs, fully loaded. It includes ETH mainnet, Optimism, Arbitrum, and even the newly introduced Linea testnet (See, they added it so fast).
Copy the Linea testnet RPC by clicking on the bottom-right corner.

Open Metamask and choose "Add Network."
Paste the copied RPL URL into the "New RPC URL" field.
Enter the following information:
Network name: Linea Goerli Chain ID: 59140 Currency: LineaETH Explorer: https://explorer.goerli.linea.build (remove space)
Click "Save."

That's it! The setup is now complete.
Now, try using the RPC to make Linea transactions via the Hop bridge.
Swap coins between Goerli <> Linea here: https://goerli.hop.exchange/#/send?token=ETH&sourceNetwork=linea&destNetwork=ethereum
All set and ready to go!
Additional information:
For those who don't have ETH on testnet, visit the faucet first: https://goerlifaucet.com
It's recommended to try setting up and using the new RPC for ETH and other chains as well.

Setting up a private RPC like this has the advantage that when other people's RPCs go down, yours might not. It can be faster than others. However, if you want to use it for Polygon, Optimism, or Arbitrum, you'll need to enter your credit card information.
These services usually charge fees for heavy usage, but for regular users like us, the free trial provides enough quota for comfortable use. You can use it for a while and then stop if you want, so there's no need to worry too much.
Hit subscribe & stay tuned for more awesomeness! Thanks a ton! ๐
