2 essential tools to check ETH gas 🧰 Save money and stay relaxed 💰
✅ Sharing my personal tracking techniques ✅ Keep up with the high gas fees and don't miss out on the happenings

http://gasprice.io is my go-to tool for checking gas fees, pretty much all the time. This site displays gas fees in 3 levels:
Instant: recommended for swaps or competing in NFT mints Fast: similar to instant, but with a bit more suspense ECO: for non-urgent tasks like approving contracts or minting NFTs with a whitelist; this option is usually similar to the fees on Etherscan
Scroll down a bit, and you'll find a handy comparison of transaction fees to help you make the best choice.

Next up, another crucial tool I absolutely love:
This chart helps you monitor gas fees for few past hours. If there's been a recent spike, it might be temporary due to a specific event or activity. In that case, the chances of gas fees dropping soon are high.
✅ If your transaction isn't urgent, it's a good idea to wait for those in a hurry to complete their transactions first.

Next is similar to the previous one, but this tool gives you an overview of gas fees for the entire month. Some events can cause gas fees to spike for several days, like $blur. Based on the historical data, you'll see that waiting for gas fees to drop below 10 isn't advisable in the past month. If the gas fee is around 20, it's considered affordable, and you can proceed with your transactions.

https://txstreet.com/d/happening features 3 interesting sections:
Trending Contracts: This is the most important section, as it shows the overall blockchain usage. In the illustration, you can see that high gas fees are due to people using $USDT. If many people are minting NFTs or claiming tokens, you'll be able to spot it here before most people do.

Next section displays trading activity on OpenSea, allowing you to see which assets are being traded quickly. It's a bit quiet at the moment, but during NFT market booms, you can easily identify which assets are being minted and gaining momentum.

Uniswap section features plenty of new coin trades (shows ???).
Generally, you'll see trending coins, like when $blur had an airdrop, you'd notice an increased number of blur transactions. Keeping an eye on this helps you stay updated with the latest trends and not miss out on any opportunities.

I tried clicking through and found that many people are trading the new coin $Troll. As of the time I'm writing this, meme coins are gaining quite a bit of popularity.

In the red circle, you'll notice a smaller number of holders, which means the coin is either new or not yet well-distributed. The green circle shows multiple transactions that occurred recently; the more transactions, the more active the trading.
On the right side, you can observe whether the transactions are buying or selling. If there are more purchases, it indicates that people are currently buying the asset (usually, you'll see a mix of both).
As I finish writing, the gas fees have dropped significantly from when I started. As mentioned earlier, by monitoring the gas fees, we don't have to spend 200 gwei on gas, saving us quite a bit of money.

Too bad there aren't any hot NFTs being minted today as examples. I'll come back and update this thread later.
