What is Cambria? Cambria is an MMORPG being built on the Blast L2. In it's current state, the gameplay is the equivalent to the duel arena from Runescape... only it's all on-chain and there's skill involved!

You challenge other players to duels (either free or paid) where you can earn rewards (and eth) depending on the outcome. We can dig into the skill aspect a little later. Beyond that, you can currently play-test Gold Gush which is the test-version where they're developing skilling, PVM, dungeons and more.

This is, truly, going to be the first on-chain Runescape-like game out and there are so many benefits of getting in right now...

Beyond amount of sheer fun I'm having with the game, the second-hand benefits are incredible. Currently, Cambria has 224.3k gold allocated to their game. This is MASSIVE. Once you've gained enough IP (essentially volume dueling) you can steal from the Blast Gold chest to earn an allocation. At current player numbers, this is a great way to farm Gold.

Beyond the Blast Gold, you can earn Arena Tokens (AT) which you can exchange for cosmetics and items in-game. These are not currently NFTs but the speculation is that they will be down the line. That said, party hats are going for .7eth a pop and you can earn them from grinding out FREE DUELS!

As there is with Runescape, there are different attack styles and weapons that you can fight with. Right now, it's whip vs whip and axe vs axe but, I imagine, in the future there will be a more dynamic combat system. What's awesome about Cambria, though, is there is some skill to the battles. Let's flesh this out a little more:

Axe Battles: these are essentially a coin flip. You both swing your giant axes at each other until the other dies. Some people think switching between offensive attacks vs defensive help in this duel... others think it does nothing. That's for you to decide!

Whip Battles: These are a little more technical. I think it's been proven that combat styles matter with Whips. So, the strategy is, defense mode when you're getting hit, and, either, aggressive or accurate when you're attacking.

Dagger/Whip Battles: Finally, there's dragon and whip battles. These are the most technical where you have to use your special attacks paired with your whip. I've done very few of these, personally, but hey, maybe you're a l33t gamer and can smash these.
