With 15 years of experience across Asia, Amar has built and scaled multiple businesses, demonstrating a remarkable ability to lead teams, manage P&L, and launch impactful initiatives in both B2B and B2C sectors.
Amar's journey began in the world of finance, with a strong foundation as an Associate Chartered Accountant. He quickly transitioned into roles that allowed him to flex his creative muscles. Amar enjoys roles that showcase his entrepreneurial spirit. As Director at BCD India, he spearheaded a $30 million housing project in Bangalore, forming key partnerships and driving rapid sales
Amar's was instrumental in setting up startups in Indonesia, scaling digital platforms, and leading strategic acquisitions across Southeast Asia for In The New. His work there laid the foundation for his next big leap into the tech startup ecosystem.
As the Head of Enterprise Partnerships at Grab, Amar launched several game-changing initiatives, including Grab Credits and Grab Express for Corporates. His strategic partnerships and sales efforts drove over $65 million in GMV, establishing him as a key player in the region’s tech landscape. Not one to sit around, Amar co-founded AVA, an end-to-end platform for managing freelancers globally, where he served as CEO. Under his leadership, AVA saw significant growth.
Amar is our CEO here at Tashi Protocol, a decentralized gaming network supporting web2 and web3 studios. In just one year, he is scaling the business from the ground up and forging partnerships with leading industry players.
Beyond his professional achievements, Amar is deeply committed to personal growth and wellness. As a life coach and yoga teacher, he shares his passion for mindfulness and well-being, helping others find balance in their lives. His role as a Venture Partner at Accelerating Asia also reflects his dedication to nurturing the next generation of startups.
