When turbulence comes, there is often an instinctual response to tense up, and harden against whatever challenges us. There are times when this is helpful, and serves well. There are also situations where this is exactly the opposite of what’s best. The superior individual discerns this difference and instead relaxes, moving instead to dissolve divisions and negativity.
This is one of those moments. Any coming adversity or challenge may tempt you toward aggressive, focused action. Do not fall for it. Only through revitalising ourselves, seeking harmony, and taking an approach that favours diffusion over hardness can we find success this week.

The hexagram for this week is Huan, Dispersion/Dissolution.

Above: Sun, Wind
Below: K’an, Water
Dispersion. Success. The king approaches his temple. It furthers one to cross the great water. Perseverance furthers.

This week the hexagram has two lines in change, in the first and fourth places. The first line advises us to clear the air and settle any rising disputes early, before they become deeper misunderstandings.
The second councils those of us who are working toward shared or public goals. It emphasises the need to leave private relations out of public affairs. Only then can collective goals be achieved. I’ll end with an excerpt that captures the sentiment.
Six in the fourth place means: He dissolves the bond with the group. Supreme good fortune.
The 23rd of August marks what looks to be a volatile period astrologically, with two planets in retrograde (Mercury and Venus). Any large decisions or risks should be tempered against this in the coming weeks.
Blessings to you all.
