The I Ching states: “everything that gives light is dependent on something to which it clings”. Fire needs fuel to burn, but whilst it is fed it shines. Fire also cleanses, and purifies that which burns.

Take these two themes then into the week, light and purification. By shining our own light, we can purify ourselves. There is one thing to look out for though, and that is ensuring there is enough fuel to last. A fire that burns quickly and soon goes out is something very different, and much less impactful than a fire that endures. Make sure you have what you need to keep the fire burning.
