TheDAO Security Fund is making its first allocation of funds to support SEAL and the white hat volunteers at SEAL 911.
SEAL 911 and SEAL provide direct security support to the Ethereum ecosystem. Their impact is unmeasurable and they are, alongside the Ethereum Foundation, the most aligned not-for-profit organizations we have in our mission to make Ethereum more secure.

SEAL 911 provides free emergency response for anyone facing an active or imminent security incident. When a wallet is compromised, a protocol is under attack, or users are just scared that they MIGHT have been hacked, SEAL 911’s dedicated team of trusted white hats are there to help 24/7/365.
The impact of this work is impossible to overstate. Beyond the funds that have been recovered, SEAL 911 supports people at their most vulnerable moments. Victims of exploits are often targeted again by scammers pretending to offer help. SEAL 911 acts as a trusted point of contact, helping people avoid further losses and regain a sense of control in situations that are frightening and often emotionally overwhelming. Check out their 2025 recap to understand the full scope of their work.
We are supporting the volunteers at SEAL 911 with:
133.7 ETH as a direct donation
0.1337 ETH per day as a Superfluid stream
SEAL 911 is an initiative under SEAL, but this donation is not going through SEAL. It will be sent to the 3-of-5 multisig used to distribute funds directly to the white hat volunteers. Also these funds are specifically intended to support the white hats working on Ethereum and Ethereum Layer 2s related tickets.
SEAL also focuses on strengthening security across the ecosystem before incidents happen. It has spawned several other critical initiatives that help our industry coordinate around our shared security goals.
Including SEAL 911, SEAL’s work spans several projects:
Safe Harbor Agreement: A legal framework that enables white hats to intervene during active exploits with minimal fear of legal complexities.
SEAL Wargames: Incident response simulations that help teams practice handling live security events before they happen.
SEAL Intel: A shared threat intelligence effort focused on distributing information about emerging crypto threats.
Security Frameworks: Practical guidance and best practices for securing crypto systems.
SEAL Certifications: Security standards and certification programs designed specifically for crypto projects and auditors.
We’ve worked directly with SEAL Certification while designing our own multisig setup and operational processes. Their guidance was impactful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone launching an Ethereum project that will hold substantial funds.
We are supporting SEAL’s general fund with:
69 ETH as a direct donation
0.069 ETH per day as a Superfluid stream
As with SEAL 911, this support is intended for security work relevant for Ethereum and Ethereum Layer 2s.
Part of the mission of TheDAO Security Fund is to use DAO tooling for the delivery of funds, and for this donation, we are using Superfluid, a DAO tooling primitive we genuinely admire.
Streaming payments are an Ethereum innovation. They make it possible to fund this work transparently and continuously, which is impossible with fiat-rails.
This is the first action of TheDAO Security Fund. SEAL and SEAL 911 are so closely aligned with our mission that supporting them directly was a no-brainer.
Going forward however, funding will move toward bottom-up distribution rounds. These upcoming rounds will be designed to support a wider range of contributors and approaches, shaped by ecosystem stakeholders themselves. More on that will come in the following weeks.
SEAL and the volunteers at SEAL 911 are doing critical security work for the entire crypto ecosystem.
This is just a fraction of the support they need. Consider also making a donation with us!
SEAL has a US 501c3 non-profit, you can receive tax deductions by donating here:
https://securityalliance.org/donate#donate
SEAL 911’s volunteers have more of a crypto-native DAO structure, you can simply donate directly to their multisig: 0xba5Ed9942ea64e8D789187E0aF6a0390d78BA5ed or use their donation page on Giveth: https://giveth.io/project/seal-911

Real-time security funding, onchain Excited to be supporting @thedaofund first donation to SEAL and SEAL911 using continuous streams Keep Ethereum secure, and funding it continuously
SEAL911 provides free emergency response when wallets get compromised or protocols get attacked. White hat volunteers work 24/7 helping victims recover funds and avoid follow-up scams. Critical work that doesn't get enough visibility.
They focus on Ethereum and L2 security. Both need ongoing support. 133.7 ETH + 0.1337 ETH/day to SEAL911 white hats 69 ETH + 0.069 ETH/day to SEAL's general fund

Today, we’re announcing the first allocation from TheDAO Security Fund. We’re supporting @_SEAL_Org and @SEAL_911 - teams that quietly do some of the most important security work in the Ethereum ecosystem. Their impact is significant, and they are among the most closely aligned not-for-profit organizations in the ecosystem. We are donating 69 ETH directly to SEAL and 133.7 ETH to SEAL 911 as well as setting up perpetual @Superfluid_HQ streams.
