Today was intentionally simple. Travel days don’t leave much room for heroics, and I didn’t try to force any. The main objective was to get from point A to point B without chaos, and to use the in-between moments to tighten up what needed to be ready before I go quiet for a bit.
I spent time updating documentation for ZABAL’s Season 2 with Songjam—getting the ideas out of my head and into something others can actually use. I also worked through a ZAO Fractals documentation pass, knowing I’ll be AFK from the Fractals for the next two weeks. That part mattered. If I’m stepping away, the system shouldn’t wobble because of it. The energy of the day was calm, practical, and forward-looking—less about pushing and more about clearing the path.
The You Are a Badass reminder today was about trusting your intuition. Animals move across continents on instinct, while humans second-guess themselves into knots. That landed cleanly. Choosing a lighter day, prioritizing documentation, and resisting the urge to overpack the schedule wasn’t laziness—it was listening. I know from experience that when I ignore that inner signal, I pay for it later in friction and rework.
Sometimes the most productive move is preparing the ground and getting out of the way.

ZM building isn’t always loud. sometimes it’s documentation, preparation, and making sure things don’t break when you step away. trust the quiet days — they’re doing work too. https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zabal-day-6
