Good morning, happy Wavy Wednesday – April 16, 2025 in the Year of the ZAO: Day 106.
S/o to Hurric4n3IKE for always setting the tone midweek.
Some days I feel like I have a grip on everything. Other days?
I'm just reminding myself to breathe and not overreact to the plot twist.
This morning’s reflection hit different—straight from “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” (Day 76): Get Comfortable Not Knowing.
It tells the story of a farmer who keeps labeling events as “the worst” or “the best”… only to realize later, he was wrong every time. The wise man just says:
“Maybe so, maybe not.”
That line stuck with me.
We always want to assign meaning right away. We want to know if something is good or bad, helpful or harmful, a win or a loss. But truth is… we don’t know. And trying to know too fast just adds pressure where it’s not needed.
There’s stuff happening in the ZAO right now—behind the scenes, in people’s lives, in community convos—that we won’t fully understand until weeks or months from now. That’s fine. That’s part of it.
We’re building something with layers. Momentum takes time.
Setbacks might be setups.
And the thing that just flopped? Could be the thing that frees up space for the next breakthrough.
So today, I’m leaning into not knowing.
Not in a lazy way—but in a trusting way. In a “this chapter’s still unfolding” kind of way.
Let’s not label it too soon.
Signing off with trust, not certainty –
