Good morning, happy Wavy Wednesday – May 7, 2025 in the Year of the ZAO: Day 127
Today’s lesson comes from Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff — a reminder I’ve been working on internalizing. The idea is simple but powerful: everything is just one more passing show. Joy, frustration, success, embarrassment — all of it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
Every feeling we’ve had has already come and gone. Every high, every crash. Yet we often grip the good too tightly or try to shove the bad out the door before it’s ready. That’s where the struggle begins. Wanting joy to last forever or pain to disappear now puts us in conflict with how life actually works.
The book reframes life as a series of present moments, each with its own flavor. If we can welcome the good without clinging and meet the hard stuff with patience, we get to float through the chaos a little lighter. Peace shows up when we stop resisting change.
This is something I’m actively practicing. Letting each moment be just what it is — one more passing show.

gm – Year of the ZAO Day 127 Today I’m practicing the art of letting go. Even the good stuff moves on. https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zao-day-127
