There’s something ancient and atomic about the idea that what you say creates your reality. Not just in the motivational-poster way, but in the real, sobering, consequence-filled way. I’ve been thinking about how often the words we use — in meetings, music, texts, tweets — reveal what we’re actually building. Whether we mean to or not.
The card I pulled today weren’t just cute desk quotes. It hits like reminders from the ancestors. “Be impeccable with your word” isn’t about moral purity. It’s about precision. About not letting your mouth cash checks your spirit didn’t authorize. And it’s especially about the ripple effect when you lead anything with a community.
At ZAO, we talk a lot about tools, tech, systems. But maybe the most slept-on tool in our stack is still the word. The actual language we choose to describe our vision. The invitation. The proposal. The freestyle. The manifesto.
So here’s the call today: Check your language. Be deliberate with your dreams. And above all, manifest with your mouth.
